I usually carry my laptop in a messenger bag which really wasn't meant for a laptop - what do you think of these bags that are actually designed for that purpose?

Why don't these "Ladies" bags come in 17"? What's a lady with a big laptop to do?

Do you think a stubborn 60 year old man will put down his tattered overstuffed laptop bag for one of these sleek, new wheeled ones?

I got one last time, kind of pleathery and not amazing, the strap is janky and the bag is overall, pretty poorly made. It's nowhere near a $250+ value. I also own Tumi stuff, it's VASTLY superior.

Sometimes we get what we pay for...

I hate McKlein. They claim a lifetime warranty on some bags, and I bought two. They don't honor warranties! WARNING! Woot, send this S&^t back to McKlein... not worthy of a Woot!

I bought two of these bags from Amazon a while ago. They were in a cool color, which I'm sad to see isn't a woot option here. One is wheeled, one is a shoulder for shorter trips.

I've been using them for three years now and they both have been great. They've held up well. I travel a lot, so they have seen a lot of miles. They are heavy construction, so you can get so much in and that's it. There is no squeezing the "one extra thing" in there.

I don't know how the black would hold up to the occasional "gate check" on the small or full bin flight. So far, the blue I have has been a champ. Tons of compliments too-there just aren't a ton of professional looking women's laptop bags out there. I don't want a man bag, and I don't want a chintzy "glam" bag. So the McKleins have been a win for me.

So, I was about to pull the trigger on one of the Halsted bags. The photo is obviously a black bag, but in the description of the item it states "Material: Full Grain Oil Tanned Leather
Color: Brown". So, where the pic of the actual brown item?! Ahhh I need to see the color ASAP before they sell out! I mean, are they that nasty red brown, or a nice dark chocolate brown?!

Most of the time I carry one laptop, and go light, carrying it as a shoulder bag, but there are occasions that I have to drag a second along, and therefore have two 17" laptops with me, and on those occasions, I am very thankful for the zip-on wheels.

Are these that much better than the cheap Targus laptop messenger bags my kids & I are using for our laptops? I will admit that they look classy (and I suppose the wheeled bit could be useful if one were big enough to double as an overnight bag), but are they more durable? Durable enough to justify charging the price of multiple Targus laptop bags for just one McKlein?

I cannot see any substantive difference betweeen the Scottsdale and Halsted, except a $15 price difference. What is the justification for spending $15 more?

Also, the retail price is grossly over estimated. These sell on amazon between $80 - $110.

I'm not certain on all of the bag pricing, but Amazon has the Wrightwood Laptop bag for about double the price, $165

Thanks for your question! These items are pretty much the same, there are a few extra compartments included in the Halsted and some additional minor details that makes it a little more pricy. Please note that Amazon aggregates sales from all over and some items can be cheaper because it is used or because they haven't added any shipping cost. Hope this helps!

Get a Timbuk2 bag. They are much lighter than these. Granted they are more hipster than button down in style, but if I am walking thru downtown the loop with a 17" laptop plus all the other stuff I carry I prefer the lighter hipster bag.

I just received my Edgebrook Wheeled Ladies Laptop case that I had ordered a couple days ago. The bag looks good, not shiny pleathery as I had feared. It is pretty heavy even when empty so I am glad it is wheeled.

However, the handle is sticking a bit when I try to pull it out. Is there a way to get it working more smoothly or shall I send it back? It's still available so I am thinking if it may be better to just exchange.

Any one else got their bags yet?
