I made the mistake of impulse buying these last woot off and then realizing there are many, many cheaper options.

As for the quality I haven't opened them yet. They make me feel like a shmuck.

Does anyone know how this compares to a not so extreme cable? Perhaps one that just likes to read books by the fireside?

Is anyone worried that this cable is poised to strike at unwitting prey at any moment?

I to can always use a few more HDMI cables, so I'm in for 3.

As for the version, it says it can handle HDMI ARC (audio return channel), and I heard that is a feature of HDMI v1.4.

I prefer buying my cables from monoprice. A 6 ft would cost about 50 cents more, but the shipping would be almost 1.50 less...and from them I can get a color besides black and a better cable... this isn't a deal.

I got one of these for my PS3, nothing but snow and snync problems at 1080.

Ditto on horrible quality. I bought 3 and all three were bad.

Have had lots of success with monoprice HDMI cables in the past. Going back to those.
