Putting nearly a dozen D cells in this may make it feel old school but I'd forget about putting it on your shoulder-- this is way heavier than I thought it would be. Puts put decent sound though. Kind of a novelty.

Sexy! If it came with a rechargeable battery, I'd totally be down.

In for one. I've thought this was gorgeous ever since it was released , listened to it at BB and liked the sound. So kind of wanted one, but could never justify the price. I don't even need a boombox. I guess it'll be nice for working outside and such.

I need to cool down though I just bought the Audysseys for sale the other day.

Too bad no bluetooth support.

Does Woot offer a bike mount for this?

Pass. I made my own earlier this year. 10" sub for bass in a truck box with 2 6" subs for highs with an iPod dock mounted at the top. It's all on 2" casters.

A full dozen for the 3-speaker version.

I think 8 D-cells was the record number needed out of all the actual boomboxes I had when I was a kid.

I've owned the two speaker version for almost two years. It's extremely heavy and has some questionable ergonomic choices, and some awkward software. But it is absolutely gorgeous, solid as a tank, and sounds incredible. I am a Grammy-nominated record producer, and I can tell you: this thing rocks.

Damn this looks like a fine new gadget! Really tempted and I know there's no need for another great sounding device, but it is sooooooooooooo sexy looking too :P Might have to sleep on this one...will have a clearer head in the morning.

I have the two speaker one and it is ridiculously loud. We use it for pool parties and outdoor movies and you would've thought there was a PA system. The sound quality is very good as well - I've never turned it up to 11 (probably not past the "5" mark since it is just so loud) so I can't say if it gets distorted. I got a clearance model at Best Buy for $200 so this is a good deal. Just don't leave the batteries in when it is off - apparently there is an issue with the batteries draining unless you physically remove them.

Hi, I know the volt states 120v, but anyone who got this can help check if thats really the case? No dual voltage??

Mind helping me check the voltage on your boombox? Does it support 110v-220v?

Wootgods, do I need to contact anyone to make sure my two separate orders ship to the two separate locations? I placed two separate orders with two different ship to addresses. Gonna be a real PITA to carry that 30 pound beast to a different location if they combine and ship to the same address.

i saw one of these last year and was really impressed by the sound quality. the only gripe i had with it is the fact that the device youre playing music from is not hidden at all. i hesitated because of that and i think at the time it was $300 at best buy for the 2 speaker set up.

Now I want some Skit-tells.

It would be cool if they made batteries that were double D's.
