Woot is now a marketplace for Amazon [Overpriced] refurbs.
Nothing to see here anymore...

I hate my Sony so bad, I'd love to buy a new one. On the other hand, I'm committed to not buying things I don't need. Maybe that Sony will have to become victim to an inexplicable electrical surge...

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago when they had them for sale.

Works great and the video quality is really nice.

The only bad thing I can say about it is that the Netflix app isn't the best I've used but it gets the job done.

What would a Woot-off be without the chorus proclaiming it's the worst ever?

Thanks for mentioning the Netflix app--I've been wondering how well these players with "built-in" streaming devices work.

Thanks. That's one of my many gripes about the Sony. Considering how slick it is on the Playstation, there's no excuse for how bad it is on their Blu-ray player.

I can't get the Netflix app to even load. Freezes up the whole player.

You need the proprietary Samsung WiFi adapter for excellent streaming.

If this comes around again, don't bother. Just about five months to the day since I put this item into (very light) service, it has become a paperweight. The HDMI-out port quit all of a sudden. Yes, I probably could get component cables and still use it--but why would I want to, when the point is the picture quality? I did all appropriate troubleshooting and Samsung sez--service it. Well, a refurb only gets three months warranty, so, no, I don't think I'll bother. Especially since the Netflix streaming is EXTREMELY cumbersome--for example, after watching, say, two shows from a multi-season show, then turning off the machine, you have to manually select episode 3 etc--from a list that is NOT broken up into seasons. Wanna get to ep 24 of season 7? Better be prepared to scroll for a while. Poop!
