That's what I was thinking. They should have offered the guitar and then the amp.

Bought one of these retail at JCP about 6 years ago for the same price. It's a cheaper guitar, and the neck is quite narrow. Not easy to play for grown up hands.

Yer supposed to sell the guitar first, then the amp.

Hate to be so negative but have to state the fact as it is. This is not a good deal at any price. Well, unless you are getting it to hang up as wall art. As a musical instrument it is junk. It takes at least a C note at a minimum to find a decent starter but used guitar. In fact that is a much smarter way to go.

Opinion based on over 40 years experience playing guitar as well as past part time help in a music store.

multiple amazon reviews warning about frets sharp as glass and cut fingers. buyers be warned, unless your musical philosophy for growth is "no pain, no gain!"

3 bucks cheaper than it was in September. And still just as worthless.

Can you recommend any specific starter models to look for in that price range?

You wouldn't happen to be able to recommend any starter bass guitars too would you?
