Bought this at Costco for $800+ but it failed within first week. Went completely dead, wouldn't turn on at all.
Was great when I had it, the bottom has a "rubbery" feel to it so it doesn't slip from the lap. The aluminum top is extremely sensitive to fingerprints. Computer is pretty slim but the power supply is huge.

Got this laptop, but with an i3 processor, for my young son. Beautiful display, very slim, keyboard feels good. Not so good is the lack of a cd/dvd drive, only 4gb RAM, although easy to upgrade as there are 2 memory slots, and a HUGE amount of bloatware comes installed (which seriously slows this system down til you get rid of it ALL). At this price, I would pass if I were in the market.

The intel 4000 graphics is the killer for me here. The Envy is supposed to be HP's flagship, but having the integrated graphics is a no go.

I swore years ago to NEVER buy another HP anything. Had a rarely used 1yo printer that had multiple problems. Finally took it out back and stomped it. Then had hubby shoot it a few times for good measure and bought an Epson.

The worst laptops I've ever owned have been 2 HP laptops. Never again.
