I love the whole season...especially time spent with my family (we put the fun back in dysfunctional) and the blatant commercialization of a Christian holiday that was a blatant attempt by a cynical clergy to recruit by saying "yes, we have a festival THEN, too!"

This seems to be one of the few times a year when people consciously try to be nice to one another.

uhm... I didn't vote for "bah humbug". I voted for "I LOVE my family"... why you gotta be like that, internets?

I also like getting all the sale emails from my favorite internet sites!

I love Christmas music. It comes in makes you feel good for a month or so (I refuse to start Christmas anything until turkey day) and ten it goes away. I also live the snow, but have seen much this year or last.

time off. i always end up with a lot of vacation days that have to be used at the end of the year. two more work days after today!

Buying gifts for the people I care about. I'm an atheist so Christmas is all about spoiling the ones I love. I have a son & 5 nieces & a nephew that I love to shower with gifts. Seeing them, open their gifts, wow. I like the decorations & yes, I put up a tree (no nativity scene) & we decorate the outside of our house.

Uh..... First of all, Christ was born in the autumn -research it. "Christmas" was an adaptation of another Pagan holiday by the church to get them to convert.

Everyone argues way too much about Christmas. Celebrate whatever you want,or don't choose to celebrate...just stop forcing views on everyone. (shooting at malls isn't looking good either. God Bless those folks...)
