Games? Can they be a little more specific?

I bought this from the corner liquor store and we had a good ole' time singing along to the bee gee's while sipping on St. Ides malt liquor - ya huh

Are those Playstation controllers? I'm confused.

seriously? This sucker is about 15 years too late.

If these played playstation or xbox games, the company would really be on to something. :P

I hate to admit it, but for the first time, I am stumped.

Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out what some of the things on Woot actually do, but usually find my way.

I have no clue what this thing does, or what all those jacks on the back are for, the controllers do, what games it plays, etc.

Help!

im assuming since its a "vcd" player that it plays burned playstation 1 and 2 games but they cant say that.

Those are 9 pin Atari/Sega 8/16-bit controller ports. I wonder if those controllers are compatible in any way with the Atari style controllers? I can't find info anywhere on this system. It may be a proprietary clone game system (NES-on-a-chip style) or it may use some type of emulator that can use ROMs, which would make it rather more intriguing. There's just no info that I can see, though.

They look just like PS1's don't they?? I wonder if this is something that will play emulator games or something, but my laptop can do that, so I don't see the point.

"VCD" is the old Video CD format, which has nothing to do with the PlayStation. Regardless, this system has nothing to do with the PlayStation, even if the controllers are modeled like that. There are lots of knock-off controllers modeled like that style.

Well, it has typical av outputs and a mic in plus two controler connections. Because putting controller inputs in back is great idea. /s

I hate how much I want to buy this knowing how much I will regret it.

No, it's not wrong. That's like saying this has something to do with a PC because a PC can play Video CDs, or this has something to do with a Philips CD-i because that can play Video CDs.

Funny "user manual". All it has is 5 pages on how to use the remote control, along with a close up of the connections on the back. And some of the text contains great examples of Engrish.

Yeah this isn't affiliated with Playstation, or any reputable game system company in any way. I think that's understood, the mystery is what types of games this will play? This has to be an emulator of some sort so I'd guess multiple systems, but how old?

I guess you can sing along with the blues once you figure out all it won't do.

I love the diagram of the remote... I could have never figured it out.
