I'd love to see categories but maybe people are fine without that.
NO. KEEP the categories. I think MOST people if given the option would MUCH rather have the items listed within categories as opposed to just 'like items'. Almost everything would be easier to locate if they were listed in categories. For instance, if you were looking for a baby item, you could just look at the listings found under 'baby'. Rather than TRYING to KNOW or REMEMBER even WHAT something was called before you could locate it.
Personally, I just think a broader category listing (such as 'Kitchen Close-Outs' for example) would make it easier to locate any pepper mill, than would say a more specific listing (such as '8 inch wooden pepper mills'). I KNOW that example is a bit dramatized, but it's really no different than making a category listing such as 'soft footballs'. Which then would require a separate listing for say 'regular, leather, or air filled footballs'. By making your categories/listings that narrow, your only going to succeed in making it much more complicated than what it needs to be. At least I would think so. I'm not trying to start any arguments, or put anyone else's suggestion down, but you asked for honest feedback, and this is my honest opinion as a longtime wooter, and how I would prefer a list whenever I was trying to find items, and shop from it.
