I am the IT Goon for a small biotech, the storage room planned for our new space was converted into offices for a couple of squeaky wheels and unplanned hiring led to my move to a tiny cube squashed in the back of a windowless room...

My sad cube isn't even a cube, it's a table in the records room.

I will say that it was waaay worse when we had 2 CRTs and 3 separate phones in those microcubes, but I don't have a picture from back then. At the time, the only place for the keyboard was on my lap.

We were behind two locked doors, tucked in a corner in what used to be a part of the data center, so we used to be able to get away with a lot of stuff like that. It was (and still is) a very close-knit team, going on 7 years now.

Here is my cubicle... It might not be the saddest (matter of opinion), but it is probably the messiest.

Wish I had a picture of it, my last job didn't have a cubicle available. so they hung a shelf in the hallway on the side of another person's cube and wheeled a chair up to it. Threw the electrical cords over the wall and setup my computers on it. and there I sat working and getting bumped by every person walking the hallway. Now I work from home thank the lord.
