I should have said 33. After the 1st one was sold the percentage remaining was 97% so I put that info into my mental perculator to figure out that they had 33 of these phallic, knobby things to get rid of.

I've worked in the software industry for over 15 years. It's not big. While R&D (and QA) might take 20% of their time to port the app to work properly on iOS, the return is about 5% at best. There are things that are iPhone related that could have bigger returns than that, but this thing has a USB plug on it...so that's not happening. That's the reality of why most hardware doesn't have direct iOS or Linux support; too much work for too little reward.

It's not my model, it's the model of the corporations that I work (and have previously worked) for. But I do enjoy the profits from their success, as do they. It's not like they don't test the waters...it's just that when they do, the return from iOS is very minimal. Linux has actually had better returns (mostly due to the server market).

Again, iPhones are a different thing. There are quite a lot of those out there...but you're not going to see a lot of iOS hardware drivers for things with a USB plug, because iPhones don't have USB ports.
