From what I can tell this is a HDMI 1.3 cable.

I recently upgraded my entertainment system after my TV died. In order to support all of the latest standards (3D, CEC, etc.) I had to replace all of my HDMI 1.3 and 1.3a cables with 1.4 cables (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI).

My recommendation would be to stay away from HDMI 1.3 cables and buy 1.4 cables instead.

Monster just jack it up, the price that is.

Mind-blowing. We need PSAs to inform people about the difference between digital and analog signals.

I used to dig Monster back in the 90s when I would buy analog cables for various things, but when digital came out they decided to move to a business plan of blatantly ripping people off. I wonder if they'll ever get hit with a lawsuit for false advertising.
