Hmmm... this looks familiar. Maybe because we've seen it yesterday?

How does Woot get so many of these? They are mostly meant as emergency radios, yet Woot has thousands of refurb models? Makes me wonder how reliable they really are...

Sure sure. I go to sleep for a few hours and miss the surround sound unit, then wake up to an emergency radio. Sigh.

I remember what it was like when all the power on east coast went out....the old transister was worth its weight in gold( unless you wanted to sit in a car).....so I think of this as a good thing to have laying around. After all the way this country is going they may turn off power due to national debt.

The one I got (as a gift) was a joke. Poorly made, poor reception.
