I use these to keep my bottle of gypsy tears cold for best application.
I got one of these as a gift. That's about all I'd spend on it. It ONLY works with cans because it doesn't actually chill the contents, it only has a metal late on the bottom and it transfers the cold through the can. It doesn't even make the soda that cold. Worthless.
give me your tears gypsy!
Looks kinda useful but it is to small for my purpose, hope there are some slightly larger mini fridges with usb functionality
This didn't chill my can of Diet Coke at all even after several hours. The plate in the bottom that chills the can is flat but the cans are not. I don't recommend this as cute as it seems.
I'll just get this and plug it in my nose.
Thx for the info those that have this... very helpful!
DO NOT BUY THIS! Only a small, metal plate about 2.5 inches in diameter gets SLIGHTLY cold. Your drink will not be affected at all. It might be good to rest your goods on if you have low sperm count. That's the only use I could see for it.
Couldn't pass up this COOL deal! One for me and one for a gift. Thanks woot!

Assuming a normal USB port, that's 5 V @ 500 mA or 2.5 W. That would give about 8 BTU which would cool a 12 oz can by maybe 10 degrees in an hour if it is well insulated and thre is good heat transfer between the fridge and can. Neither of those appear to be true. So figure it's half efficient (being generous) for maybe 4-5 degrees per hour. You're going to have to be patient.
