Carry case = great for travel, although face it, once it is out of the case, it isn't going back in, until the wife yells at me to put it back.

There is nothing like a home-haircut to build respect from your kids- especially the girls.

Once you fire-up the buzz clippers and the little uns' see that wild look in your eyes- they'll know you mean business.

Yes, dad....

I got one, I need my hair cut been over 3 years since I had it cut. It is almost down to my waise. I will cut and save it until I go to the 50th class reunion this summer and take it and a bottle of glue and cover up the bald heads.

WalMart claims 22 vs Woot 20 pieces. I think the difference is WalMart seems to come with scissors.

Anyone know what kinda batteries are in this thing and the voltage?

I've have my whale trimmer for well over 5 years but the cordless-ness of this unit is attracting me. Just the thought that I can drop my pants anywhere and add a inch or two to my unit with out the use of a electrical receptacle gives me goosebumps. Lol

My concern is the advertising 35 minute run time. If they advertise 35, maybe it's 30 when new. Given a year it's probably down to 20/25 when fully charged- but the reality is I won't keep it fully charged before I use it so it won't be at full charge. Don't want it dying in the middle and having to plug it in defeats it being cordless to begin with.

What sort of home haircut kit doesn't come with a bowl? Grrr.

I would have to guess that it has something to do with the battery, which, if it's lithium, is considered HazMat, and has special restrictions for shipment.

I got a pair of these a couple years ago (not exactly the same, a different case, and ni-cad or ni-mh batteries not lithium), and they were absolute HEY YOGI!.

It took hours to get a charge good enough to run the clippers at a speed that could get through my (admittedly thick) hair at a reasonable speed, and the charge wouldn't last through more than half a head trimming.

Maybe lithium fairs a lot better, but I would not trade the new walmart (exact same clippers) corded version for a battery powered one any day. You plug it in and it works, period. Plus, when are you going to be cutting your hair somewhere without an outlet?

*edit* Actually read the specs, and this also has Nickel-whatever batteries. It looks exactly the same as the one I just scavenged for parts. 35 minute run time? Maybe 10, probably less, and anything past that is not at full power. Plus the batteries don't hold charge, so you have to think about plugging it in and charging it in advance (no running off to grab them to shave-prank someone).

My wife has cut my hair for 50 years...think of all the money I have saved.

All you need is clippers, scissors, a comb, and a wife.

Cordless would be great. I finally fixed the cord on our old Wahl clippers. Like old electric razors, it is always the cord that fails after ten years or so of use.

From my own experience, the batteries in this are worth less than 2 years, not used very often. Unless you can drum up 3 nimh batteries and a soldering iron every few years, a 10 year cord is going to serve you much better.

I have purchased this same set from walmart in the past and I feel it doesn't have the power for thicker hair. It should be fine for thin hair and "general" up keep.

I got a road rash burn on my face today...
The kind that oozes pus-won't go away...
Has 5 dull blades-caused my face to rot..
In so much pain..I'll need to smoke some pot..

King of Shaves...will blister me

If this is anything like my Conair, you can't plug it in. If it runs out of juice or doesn't have a full charge, you're done shaving for a while.

This might help explain, but I'm warning you upfront there are some vulgar expressions there (nothing that offends me, but some might be offended):
