Appears we've entered the Friday doldrums. No chat until or unless poof returns from her Lenten fish dinner.

And I'm back. Really bummed about my new comforter. When I took it out of the packaging, it was pretty wrinkled from being all packed up, so I tookit to the dry cleaners. Picked it up and there it was in the same kind of packaging. Just as wrinkled, if not more than before. And it's kind of clumpy now.

Hey all. I taught 2nd grade for a whole hour today. I think I deserve a medal for being willing to do it again next week ;)

It wasn't too bad, all but the group Ver1 is in got the concepts. We will probably have to do a group teamwork activity or two because of the one group though, they weren't getting the "work together" concept.

Second grade isn't bad.

Not as good as kindergarten.

I think we are in for the night as well. I need to get some fabric so I can finish some sewing for a work project I need to have done in a few weeks, hmmm....

Nope.

Son's first choice school didn't give him any money, so now it is his last choice.

He liked Buffalo. They gave him a nice amount of money, plus it is a state school and in an area with a low cost of living.

Going to a local school tomorrow. They also offered him a nice amount of money. He can live home. To him that is the down side.

Then he is going to look at a school in CT.

He is sick of looking at schools!

I'm still not very comfortable with C and I may need to buy more parts.

After I finish sewing and stitching circuits, I'll need to program it.

Just got back from Sam's. They have some gel pillows that are supposed to stay cool, and touching one, it did feel cool. Was going to call my son, but called a friend first because her husband's head sweats so bad at night. She said she got one 10 days ago and she's still trying to get the chemical smell out of it. Will wait on that.

Feather? Foam?

Some dry cleaners do it.

remind me again why I took vacation this week....cuz it has sucked. just found out my s-i-l who had breast cancer 18 yrs ago and has been cancer-free is now dealing with some sort of intestinal (large intestine) cancer, most likely unrelated to the earlier cancer. Picked up on CT scan by radiologist. Goes to surgeon on Tues - colonoscopy and biopsy to be scheduled.

Would probably be better off to buy new. They really aren't very expensive. I saw some at Ikea the other day for 8 something.

Beautiful day today. In the 50s, sunny. Tomorrow, when husband has to grill son's birthday dinner, supposed to rain, sleet and maybe 3 to 6 inches of snow.

it wouldn't - it's just the timing...coming at the end of a crappy week (I have been down for 5 of my vacation days - first 2 was a migraine and then 3 days related to food poisoning).

well I just really wanted to get some stuff done around here. not much got done.

as for your pillows - I throw pillows in the washer all the time. They usually come out fine. Even throw em in the dryer.

um....not that I recall but I wash a lot of that kind of stuff (dog beds and cat beds and pillows). I just washed a couple of my pillows last week and they turned out fine.

You just have to dry pillows (feather) in stages. Fluff them a couple of times during the dry, low heat.

I still haven't found a pillow that works well for me. No pillow is ok, as long as I don't spin.
