No, he is stuck at the vet.

Cat has one of son's friends sister feeding it. She sent a picture.

Three and a half inches of rain in two days. The upper spillway is running again. No road repairs anytime soon.

Is there any way to get neighbors sainted for taking garbage 3/4 mile each way up the road to the highway? They might be taking it a loooong time.

Dad is doing fine.

Short report running back to the boonies now.

Picked up takeout for dinner last night. One of our favorite places--but oh no, new owners!

Not good. The hot and sour soup wasn't hot or sour...but the egg drop wonton was horrific. It smelled of ashtray.

We won't be eating there ever ever ever again. Awful.

Another article said the shooter was a disgruntled ex-employee of the store.

So much unhappiness. :/

Just put a pineapple upside down cake in the oven. Or, rather, husband did. Those suckers are heavy in an iron skillet.

Chinese
are now run by chinese people who never saw what we consider chinese food.
They do now do a good job of cooking it.

They think we should be eating chinese food that they would eat in China.

Lawns are finished. Hubby decided to work on a commercial building tomorrow. We spent today changing the locks on the rental house that is empty of renters but full of their stuff and having keys made for another house. Took two try's at two different hardware stores to get keys that would work. Have two roofs leaking. Roofer friend will repair one on Saturday . He hasn't had a chance to check out the other one. Way too much property and too much rain. The real estate agent says business is heating up with the casino breaking ground in mid October.

LEGO compatible tend to fall apart a lot easier than LEGO, just to warn you.

Jaws, thanks for checking in. Sounds like you have great neighbors!

Going to be writing and running a workshop for teens, need to find new storage solution for my office, and working on all sorts of other stuff, including trying to recruit another 48 teams from around the state for this year's FTC competition.... yeah not going so well on that one. Feeling a bit overwhelmed and very tired.

KtC sorry to hear you are feeling overwhelmed. Being tired will add to that, at least it does me.

The neighbors are wonderful. Thankfully so are the hospice volunteers and my cousin. With all the rain the crevice is back between the highway and our house. No mail delivery until its fixed. One could almost lose a VW bug in there.

I knew it was bad when the first words out of my cousin's mouth after hello were, "what is the road department's number?" I will call tomorrow and if its not fixed tomorrow I will call the county commissioner.

The only good thing is anyone crazy enough to go by the road closed sign will regret it if they don't realize how deep the crevice is. Can you say broken axle and other damage if they hit it to fast?

We are trying to go back to the beach tomorrow. We are waiting on the former renter to get their stuff out. Daughter has packed loads of clothes and stuff to take to the beach for Elizabeth.

We are leaving for the beach tomorrow also! I need to dip my toes in Mother Ocean, breathe some salt air and clear my mind. Let the de-crapification begin!

I made it to Friday. I went to a staff appreciation event, even though I'm not staff any more and came back with 4 groups of volunteers, a definitely want to promote your events from the group that owns 9 local radio stations, and a potential sponsor. I hope I can help the guys see that there is money and interest in this program if they'd just get out of their offices and talk to people. Seriously, that was just talking to bored people at booths and it took me less than an hour. Imagine if we'd had a booth!

I'm also going to be doing a workshop and pregame event next weekend at our University, crossing fingers it helps.

If anyone wants to know what I do now, 3 of the FIRST Americorp VISTAs are going to be on the radio tomorrow morning to talk about our program. You can listen live at the KLUP website: http://www.klup.com/
Saturday, September 28th at 9am CDT. I hope that there is a recording, because I'm not getting up at 7am on a Saturday.

Good morning everybody! We made it to the beach. We left 30 lbs of cat food for our neighbor to feed daughter's cats, possums, squirrels, and what other furry creatures live in the yard. What ocean will be wetting your toes Chevy?

We found a bunch of single shoes. On the beach. In the town.

Staff

Good morning.

Fingers crossed that this week is less frantic and disorganized than last week.

Seeing oclubmaster posting to all the games reminds me when Az & Cruzer (and me sometimes) would get up early and post in all the threads to have a page of last posts.

And home.
Opened mail and discovered that as of the first of the year we will no longer have health insurance through husband's old company. That's really nice. Ticks me off, all those years of union negotiations where they gave up percentage raises in order to have retiree benefits and now it's tough s h @#@.

And opened email and discovered a 235 page expedite job. But I have to watch last week's Castle first.

Edit: Did someone say pr0n?
