Back to the Estate for Dog days.
Walked around the estate. Pet some doggies. Rusty smelled a bunch of dog butts.

It was a much nicer day today.

Did some cleaning.

Nice.

They built a casino at Aqueduct Race track. Very near where I grew up.

I wonder how it is?

Met with the leathersmith. He's making me a bracer to hold my phone like Orcrist's. Then I stumbled on a massive shoe sale while looking for boots at the mall (at the store I was looking at) walked out with more than I could carry myself.... won't need shoes again for a while! (I'm not a big shoe person, this is the first time I've gone on a binge like this since 2000 - which was the first time I ever did it). Walked to get a hair appointment, ended up doing a walk-in so it's all done. Jacket needs some stitching and I need to start embroidering the conductive thread (I think it will look cooler like that).

I think it has to do with a project at work. Making circuitry to power something. First I heard of end shape though. Please note the I think part.

Showing your age!

There was a story on the radio about the main post office in nyc. No lines anymore. Use to be a zoo on 4/15.

The basement leak frog was chirping yesterday morning. There was some water, not much. Husband can't quite figure out from what. Might be a drippy faucet, but how did it get to the floor?

Leak frogs only need to get damp to chirp.
Hope you find it.

Hubby hung up my birdhouses yesterday.
He is trying to fix the outside faucet. It bangs when we shut it off. Makes all the plumbing in the house shake.
Scares the heck out of the cat!
Air in the pipes.
I'm not sure he fixed it yet.

Costco has the really heavy, cement flower pots.
I should get some. No bend gardening!
At least for the blackberry bush. That thing wants to take over the world! Lucky it is against the house with a cement driveway all around it, or it would have.
Lots of thorns on it.

I like the cement pots, they never blow over, or move...even in a hurricane.

The problem with the heavy pots is that once you put dirt in them, they're immovable.

bangs when you shut it off or when you turn on the water? could be waterhammer. according to this site "The best way to identify if the noise is water hammer is to ask yourself "when does it happen?" If the noise occurs when you open a valve or a faucet, it is probably air in the pipes. If it occurs when a valve closes or the washer changes cycles, it is probably water hammer. If it occurs when a pump starts, it could be water hammer, air in the pipes, or both."

People are f.uked up.

Someone, or a bunch of someones, just bombed the Boston Marathon at the finish line.

Gas line?

It must be especially weird to be injured and disabled after being in such good shape.

Although bystanders were there too.

Nobody has claimed to have done it. It might be natural, or not.

I remember our post offices having people standing by the curb to take your envelope so you barely had to stop.
