jawsuser wrote:Hi all. Dad update. He had a wonderful day today. Actually went out with me to my chiropractic/massage appt. Stayed in the car. Then we ate lunch at a buffet. Its the first time he has been out of the house since the 30th of March.

His step son called yesterday and they had a good chat. Nice he seems to have quit playing games and making me the bad guy.

Tomorrow a good friend from his army days is coming over for a visit. Dad will really enjoy that I hope today doesn't tire him out too much.

Can't believe what happened in Boston. Such a shock. Of course my dad has a conspiracy theory already. He blames the President saying Obama is doing everything in his power to split the nation.

Oh well, that's my news update, now back to your regularly scheduled discussions.

KtC your hoodie sounds wonderful. I was wondering with a name like conductive thread.

Good to hear some possitive today. I am praying his good days are many.

I was in a lottery pool with some people I worked with at the time. We won over $600, the vote was to put it all back into tickets as the big prize wasn't won that draw. We ended up with nothing

I spent most of the day cleaning.

Ok, part of the day.

It is not fun.

Right now my tub, bed and the couch are spotless.

Not a germ or a speck of dust on them.

Tub will be dirty in a day.
Dust will somehow figure out how to get into a folded up sofa bed.
Bedroom will be all dusty by Wed. Hopefully the bed will still be clean.
I even washed the wool blankets.

Poof, is Castle new tonight?

A Costco near here won $200 million a few years ago.
20 people split it. After taxes it was around $5,000,000 each.

I rather win 5 million than 200 million.

Not that I wouldn't take way less!

You can always share your winnings with me (so could poof ) Then you wouldn't have too much. Dad's friend won 42 mil. back in the early 90s, it was a huge pain and that was before social networks and keeping in touch with most of the people you've never met!

Good morning everybody! Haven't been to the beach in two weeks. We jogged a little over two miles. I could tell we have been slackers lately.

Did you see the video of the explosion at the Boston Marathon that knocked a runner down. I watched it several times trying to decide if he had been hit. I finally decided that he wasn't hit. Found out later that he is 78 years old! Isn't that cool! Running marathons at 78! It baffles me that someone would want to hurt strangers just to make a statement of some kind. There are some real sickos out there.

Morning Peeps.

Sick world out there. I made a special effort not to glue myself to the news. Watched it once and periodically checked for updates.

A guy pulled over on a highway. Near an exit, to drop off a passenger! Then drove off the shoulder, back onto the road.

We currently have two or three people standing at the end of the exit ramp of the closest interstate asking for money again. I can't believe some people actually give them some. I know people have offered to buy them food and they don't want that.

There is one exit where people go here.

Back in the old days, they were everywhere! Couldn't get into Manhattan by car without someone approaching your car.

Everyone left the office twice today to go interview candidates for the promotion I applied for, that was supposed to be a formality. I don't know, I'm nervous. My interview is in the am. Ver3 was up ALL NIGHT last night, just awake and loud and keeping everyone else awake.

In happy news Ver1 won a poetry in contest, she's going to have her poem read at a special event on Sunday, April 28th (in sad news, I'll still be in St. Louis then, so Orc will have to video it).
In happy news Ver1 won 2nd place in a bookmark designing contest for the local CommUNITY Walk. She will be recognized on stage at the commUNITY Walk on Saturday, April 27th.... Maybe I should buy an extra tape for the video camera?

This is the LEGO job. It's technically for state 4H which is run through the University extension.

I either get promoted to full time, or I get unemployed and they replace me with a better qualified candidate.
