Every other website I've ever ordered from ships the same day; if before noon, or the next day, at the latest.
Never 5 days BEFORE shipping.
I would like to know these websites. Granted, 5 days is awhile, but it was already said that the norm is 2-3 days. That's how long it takes amazon, barnes and noble, groupon goods... hold on, let me check my e-mail for "payment recieved" and "order shipped" e-mails... Joann's, Oriental Trading Co., What On Earth, ThinkGeek, Half.com...
And looking over these e-mails, occasionally some did take longer (my last Joann's order was 5 days), so it is not woot-specific. Further, woot has often sent my orders the next day; it is the only company in the past year that has sent same day, although that time is rare; never five days. That was probably a fluke.
At this point I really don't expect you to acknowledge this post, though. Honestly, I'd have a lot more sympathy for you if you weren't ignoring all the valid points made here that don't suit your needs.
It is pointed out to you that, actually, it is not one accidental click, you had to go through two pages. You do not respond to that.
You are apologized to and told that it can be difficult to track down orders as the labels are printed immediately. Your response is to repeat your complaint about not having a "cancel order" option on the page confirming your buy.
I ask what sites you are talking about that have such an option. You do not reply.
When you complain about the shipping charge, it is pointed out to you that that is flat rate for all things, which is actually an amazing deal... you ignore that.
(in fact, few things sold this wootoff would, by themselves, ship for less than that if they charged separate shipping.)
Come on. I even agree that they might be able to get a better system so that they can cancel orders placed quickly, but take a little responsibility here, acknowledge the valid points being made, and acknowledge-- not even accept, just acknowledge-- the staff apologies offered to you in this thread.
