yesterday i went to purchase two yoga mats (for my wife and i), and mens underwear from woot. (all from unique purchasing pages)
my first purchase was a Purple Leopard Yoga Mat, which appeared to go through fine since i got to the your order has been process page:
next i purchased a blue yoga mat, no issues, and got to the your order has been process page:
lastly i purchased the mens underwear which also processed fine:
after all orders were complete i went to my account to review the purchases. that's when i noticed my first order (a Purple Leopard Yoga Mat) got recorded as a blue yoga mat.
upon noticing this i immediately contacted woot to tell them of the issue. i got a standard email back with a case number saying customer service hours are from 8-5 so you will hear from us tomorrow.
the next day woot emails me saying my stuff is being shipped and theres nothing they can do. no stopping the shipment, no refund or no credit. after expressing my disappointment to woot and how unhelpful they were, i still was met with a sucks to be you attitude by woot customer service.
i no longer have faith that when i click buy now and finalize my purchase i will actually get what i ordered. also if thats not enough there are no means of refund whatsoever, even if you IMMEDIATELY contact woot.
woot was a fun website back in 2004/2005 when it first started and i joined, but in that time took no effort to protect the consumer or learn anything about customer support. i am and i suggest everyone else stops using woot and in turn used the many other deal sites to have a safer and happier online shopping experience.
