According to the specs, included is a powercord, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a dongle - what kind of dongle comes with this?

Probably a dongle for the wireless keyboard/mouse.

I think that is correct but just wanted to check - only because if you are getting a wireless keyboard/mouse, clearly they should give you the adapter... wasn't sure if it was a separate unrelated item.

no, I am asking questions from pure boredom *facepalm* YES I was serious. You have "dongles" of all shapes, sizes, and for all sorts of purposes. Some wireless mice/keyboards have a big device connected by a USB cable and some are just what looks like a jump drive. Call me crazy but I thought it was a valid question. Sorry we aren't all scientists like you.

need a new PC but can't stand Windows 8...does this include Win 7 media? I just back-rev'd my work PC for this reason. The Windows 8 experiment lasted all of about 3 weeks.

Doesn't look like it, but it does have VGA and DVI-D ports. Depending on your needs those may work.

Most mice now are either bluetooth or come with a dongle.

Honestly when adding a larger power supply, video card and memory to this unit I could build a new one that would perform better for the same money. This is suitable for those who have "no" interest in upgrading for gaming and high end media and windows 8 kills it for me anyway not to mention bloatware.
