This looks weird to be a BOC.

Wooters - just a friendly reminder about the new cart feature & shipping rates policy. More details in my signature.

Hmmm. Older version, refurbished, newer version on Amazon for $30 more and new.

Not much of a deal if you ask me...

is IPS really worth the extra cost?

the AOC 23" LED monitors a few weeks ago were only $109 and pretty much had the same specs, the main difference being no speakers and 1DVI-D/1vga versus the IPS having speakers and 2HDMI/1vga

It doesn't have a DVI input.

Jeez...I hope not. I just bought one. Also, the new replacement model on Amazon is considered inferior by the reviewers. This particular model reviewed extremely well.

Maybe not inherently, but...

"The base also transforms into a built-in VESA stand that locks into place so that the monitor can be used on a desktop and easily mounted on a wall by simply pushing a button and folding the stand at its tilt hinge"

Actually gives you some additional functionality. IMO. I can mount it on my wall or on my arm.

I believe it does have a 100x100 VESA mount (in the base; fold it up against the wall)

IPS monitors are generally worth the cost. In both color reproduction, and viewing angle. I'm not sure about this particular model though, as it doesn't have Displayport. I doubt it will really mater though as people will probably buy it anyways.

I do some video editing in which people are looking either over my shoulder or adjacent to me and the color needs to be solid at extreme viewing angles. IPS has come in very handy in these situations.
