Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Southern isn't one accent, but many. But unless you live here, you can't tell the difference. Virginia is different from Georgia or Alabama.

Haha, that's true! But I have to go with my husband's Scottish/Australian accent. He was born and raised in Scotland, but lived in Australia for 10 years so definitely has that Aussie twang...

Also, "Boston/Yankee" should never appear anywhere.

It is an oxymoron, or just a scarecrow if you are a Yankees fan!

Mid-atlantic all the way! Its the affected accent that movie stars of the '40s all spoke in. Its not really even regional. They just taught it at acting and broadcasting schools, but it always makes me laugh when I hear it.

Cajun. A lively version of French without the snooty aloofness of the original.

That's ludicrous! I guess there just need to be more movies with the Philly accent huh?
