! means factorial. (multiply all the numbers before it together), so 5! * 5! is (5*4*3*2*1) * (5*4*3*2*1) = 14400

This has always applied to the Board of Circuits - no more than one per wooter during a woot off. Granted, if you have another adult in your home that's able to get one, that's different. Otherwise, once you get the Box you're done.

For the latest one (sold out, of course):

There were 5 Spice Girls and 5 Backstreet Boys.

5! * 5! = 125 * 125 = 14400

Add that to the URL fragment and you get
http://www.woot.com/offers/6228409a56914d4aa662513a7407399c14400

They've had the one crap per Woot-off rule for a long time.

That, or push the right buttons on your calculator faster. :D

I did not do this fast enough and thus missed out on this Board of Circuits and all the easy ones before it.

i hate math.
and I hate having to work so hard for a Board of Circuits

Wish they would go back to the old way of just posting the baggage and letting us fight over it in one giant pit. No more mini brawls.

Aren't there only 4 Backstreet boys? It says Kevin Richardson left the group in 2006, so the correct answer should have been (5*4*3*2*1)*(4*3*2*1)=2880.

He rejoined the group in April 2012, I think

Haha, yeah High five! This is the first time I've gotten one from one of these puzzles, but I've really enjoyed them. I'd rather have something interesting to do and multiple chances than having to be in the exact right place at the right time and slog through server crashes to try to get it.

On the one hand, you got crap. On the other hand, your instant-recall knowledge of the Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls has hereby been made public for the world to see.

Congratulations...I think.

okay guess it's sum.. of the ones named after people but still missing it.
i'll give you 13 elements:
1_bohrium (Bh, 107) – Niels Bohr
2_curium (Cm, 96) – Pierre and Marie Curie
3_einsteinium (Es, 99) – Albert Einstein
4_fermium (Fm, 100) – Enrico Fermi
5_gallium (Ga, 31) – both named after Gallia (Latin for France) and its discoverer, Lecoq de Boisbaudran (le coq, the French word for 'rooster' translates to gallus in Latin)
6_hahnium (105) – Otto Hahn (Dubnium, named for Dubna in Russia, is the IUPAC-accepted name for element 105)
7_lawrencium (Lr, 103) – Ernest Lawrence
8_meitnerium (Mt, 109) – Lise Meitner
9_mendelevium (Md, 101) – Dmitri Mendeleev
10_nobelium (No, 102) – Alfred Nobel
11_roentgenium (Rg, 111) – Wilhelm Roentgen (formerly Ununumium)
12_rutherfordium (Rf, 104) – Ernest Rutherford
13_seaborgium (Sg, 106) – Glenn T.
for a total of 318,500

It's actually 14 elements atomic sums. It's sold out now but would be (20000/80)*1428

todaresq

quality posts: 75 Private Messages todaresq

I got ((20000)/(80))*(1314))=328500... The sum was from 107+112+96+99+100+64+103+109+101+102+111+104+106.

Didn't work...

They were from:

bohrium
copernicium
curium
einsteinium
fermium
gadolinium
lawrencium
meitnerium
mendelevium
nobelium
roentgenium
rutherfordium
seaborgium
