woot czars:

Based on posts alone, the former would appear to have been a bit more popular. Maybe for the next game, a mash-up of Crapword and Crapschmidt could work.

You could still have trivia clues that would result in a word that you would then find in a word search that has values attached to the word which you would then tack on to the end of a URL in the same fashion as this game to get a Board of Circuits

Just spit-balling here, and it would take some more noodling, but it's a start.

Not sure if this is a completely accurate assessment. I noticed people were posting about the questions in the specific item. Since the crossword answers had more to do with previous clues I think everyone congregated in the main forum instead of the item forum.

For those who don't know, you can usually use your woot order # to track by reference on the fedex site. Often times, this works before you get any shipping notification from woot.

I hope mine takes a slow roast on its way to CA. Usually it gets to my residence really fast. I'm actually leaving on vacation and won't be back until the 3rd. Hopefully someone like the Vietnam Veterans don't do a random pickup like earlier this week and just grab the box because it's in my front.

You very well could be right... there were quite a few folks posting on the items. I did see a lot with anywhere from 20-40 (and some with more) comments, some about item, but most about the clue.

I'm skeptikal since the Crapword had over 3600 posts in the forum (as well as some on the items just like this one), while the Crapschmidt had barely over 800. That's a giant difference... and you'd have a tough time convincing me the other 2800 or so posts ended up on the item listings.

But, anything is possible. After all, David Hasselhoff is a famous singer in Germany... who would have ever thought that could happen?

My guess is that they're going to mix it up with how you are able to buy them, so we may not see either method again, or we might see them both rehashed, along with other woot-off games yet to be imagined.

Mine still has awaiting shipping status as well. However, as of a day ago I was able to track by reference on Fedex's website. Just use your woot order number for the reference number. I would guess it has shipped. Let me know if you have any questions.

I guess what I'm saying is that not necessarily more people participated, it's just that crapword was a little more interactive on here as people started to share answers or potential answers to help push up the comment count. We still have the content posts which should add another 5 pages or so.

Then again, maybe people got dejected on seeing so many sold out bags each time they went to the page. I know I stopped trying at work because my work computer just wasn't conducive to it, that and well.. I was getting slammed with last minute work requests because I'm going on vacation.

The fact that I was up at 2am and able to mathematize Google to such an extent to score one of these was an accomplishment in itself, so I will be more than happy with whatever arrives. 'Tis crap, after all!

Mine was similar. Except no Forever Lazy (2 kids shirts instead) and ear warmers instead of hand warmers. And a young girls sports back pack.

Next weekend I'm heading up to see my nieces (18 months old and 12) and they are going to LOVE everything in this bag. I can't wait to give it to them!

My 5.9lb. Board of Circuits showed up a day early. This was, of course, about 2 hours after I left town for the day. It had to wait outside in the rain overnight.

The haul:

    2 - Snap straws
    1 - kids small shirt
    1 - Bug zapper raquet
    1 - 180s ear warmers w/headphones
    1 - Tonka Race-Along Chuck.

Thanks Woot!

It's here! It's here! And there was much rejoicing.

But I can't open it until the hubby is home. Boo!

Well, technically he didn't ask me to wait, but I know he'd love to be part of the opening process. So, despite the 9yo's incessant whining about needing to see what's inside ASAP, it will have to wait for another couple hours.

Sigh.

Picked up my box from the post office today and opened it with the aid of my most able assistant (pictured at left).

Included were:

1 Fila wind pants (size Men's X-large)
1 ear warmer/headphone combo (women's)
1 "This is why you leave a note" shirt (child size 8)
1 Forever Lazy in blue with matching socks (size men's large/XL)
4 four packs of Sanyo AAA batteries
2 bike lights (red)
1 Alpine Meadow body/hand lotion set
2 Snap Straws
1 handbag with crabs on the side.

Overall a nifty bunch of things, though it seems like we're getting a lot of the same things this time around.

I got mostly a combination of what everyone has thus far reported (clickstraws, ear warmers with headphones, safety blinking lights, purple flower bag, lotion/shower gel set, impossibly small woot shirt) but also received a couple of theme-paired items which was neat. The themes were...

BABIES!
x1 Monkey doll that lights up as a night light and plays either ocean sounds or a lullaby.
x1 Baby fresh food feeder (kinda like this.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/baby/dp/B004QQ5HMU)

and

BASKETBALL! or more specifically, AWESOME BASKETBALL MOVIES!
x1 Hoosiers DVD
x1 White Men Can't Jump DVD

Don't have a baby, but love Hoosiers and can never turn down a good 90's blast from the past, so I can't complain
