So these are sunglasses one wears inside for looking at a TV or computer screen? A screen that has brightness controls and colour correction. Why does such a ridiculous thing even exist?

IT's for gaming! When using such options could mean life and death! Not for the geeky MMO player but for those that play action pack like games.

Eye strain. I have a pair I've used when driving in fog and snow. Cuts glare.

They aren't sunglasses, they are akin to reading glasses for a tuned for a computer screen. I bought a pair 3 years ago but didn't start regularly wearing them until a few months ago. They have helped. At 41 my eyes just aren't as able to take staring at my computer screen 8-10 hours a day every day as they were. The slight magnification and whatever slight color filtering they do helps.

I'm not recommending them, per se, since I don't know how much they might help anyone else, just trying to explain they aren't just sunglasses for inside.

They are very helpful if you need to look intelligent while playing Grand Theft Auto.
