This would be super awesome if I didn't already have 3 1440 monitors from Korea.

It would be tough to FPS game with that 12ms.

IPS is not the same as FPS gaming... corporate world vs grandmas basement.

You'd never know it. Not in a million years. however it does have a limitation. It can ONLY do 1440p/720p/480. Cannot be 1080P. That sucks.

It also only does DVI-D and display port. NO HDMI. The new version includes cables at least. Do not know if the refurb here does.

There is a nice review on tomshardware.com Just search for HP ZR2740w and it comes up, compairing it to an ASUS

Why are the monitors with an HDMI input not have DVI and VGA? and visa versa?

Good price for a brand name 2560X1440 IPS, way better than 1920X1080 27" monitors.

This monitor is for sale on Woot at approximately half its original price, because HP thought they knew what their "business" customers would want. HP was wrong. Now you can get a monitor with a "unique" combination of specs. No 1080P is kind of weird...

Note, Personally, I would go for the Korean ones at the same resolution as sold on ebay. A Korean manufacturer selling direct on ebay vs. HP, and I choose ebay for the quality. My opinion of HP isn't so good these days.

I own one these, and it died. Because it's a business class it was replaced with a new one, but had it not been business class, I'd be SOL. If you do jump on this, extend the warranty.

I would've jumped on this deal, but I was away from the computer at the time. Darn it.
