I bought one of these over a week ago. NOW I know why the thing still hasn't shipped out. What's with the week long order processing woot? Forget buying from here again...blech. Item in my account has been "shipping now" since the 24th of Nov. is that a common woot thing to do?

I'll take the $99 40". If it helps, you can keep the sticker pack.

Oh fine, so NOW you limit 2, not 1. I use 2 monitors and had to have a family member order the 2nd one for me.

That said these monitors are very nice. Both had no screen defects (no dead pixels not even partial ones). They both had scratched up bases though and HP does not sell the replacement part so you're stuck with scratched up bases if that's what you get.

Also there is a bit of striping in yellow and orange colors (noticeable in Google logo).

If you peel off the ugly stickers carefully the HP logos are still there. One of them (not both!) had Sharpie scratched out on the logos under the sticker, that is easily removed with Goo Gone and dry erase marker rubbing.

This is not a deal. You can buy a new name brand 24" monitor for less.,

He said you can buy a new name-brand 24" monitor for less.

Links were requested.

Links were provided.

These are name-brand 24" monitors. They need not have any other attribute.

If we're pointing out differences, the one on sale here is a refurb. No mfgr warranty. Its useful life will likely be shorter.

That's like going to buy a used BMW and walking out saying I can buya new Ford Focus for less. Sure, it's true, but if that's what you're after than you were looking in the wrong place to begin with.

If you're looking at this, it should be because it's an IPS display. He said it's not a deal, when it is a decent deal for an IPS.
