ooops oh yes I forgot...congrats to all the winners they were pretty dang good....but I think it should be like most radio contest...like you win and you are not elegible for say like 5 contest or something...only the cahs winners...the HMs would be excluded from that...so that we won't have sooo many people complaining about 'he always wins'....I do not really pay attention to who wins as much as to what wins....the work alone is what it should be done by....I think a board of judges should be drawn up and all the entreis should be shown with no names attached and judged like that...

always crap on company time.....

I know...

This Friday, I'm gonna try REALLY hard, and maybe, just maybe, the honorable Mr. Toon will forgive all of my past indiscretions, insults, flames, and condescensions and make my life complete by awarding me with the only thing that really matters, recognition in this contest.

And maybe, just maybe, my fine fellow woot-chop-contestants will finally realize that I really, honestly don't care about the results as deeply as I let on via my avatar, that flaming creatively is as much fun as chopping creatively, and that in spite of the rants and insulting chops, I really do have fun participating in this heated forum as an aside from my work day.

Nah....

Thanks to everyone that helped get Bob On Clam DQ'd, I didn't have time today to search for the original myself. I am honored to take third place, but a little mystified because I personally liked my other two entries a little bit better (Baboon On Crutches and Bottle Of Cats[they just look sooo pissed in there], both on page 14)...but to each his own, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. Congrats to all the winners and HM's...hopefully I can keep it up and be one of the elite who unfairly win every week ;-)

For what it's worth (nothing), my favorites were Braille on Cookies, Bucket O' Chimp, Block Of Concrete, Boat of Cheese, and of course, all three of my entries...which were brilliant;-) I do want to point out that athough Braille on Cookies and Bling on Cabbage were very well done, I just don't think they make very good filter substitutes. I spent most of my time trying to devise acronyms that would be suitable replacements for Blinged-Out Cabbage...and it seems like that time was kind of wasted...c'est la vie, that's just my two cents. Thanks to everyone who helped get me bumped up and thanks to anyone who complimented any of my work...I definitely appreciate it. It would be nice if people spent more time complimenting entries they enjoy and less time bitching about how unfair it is when they lose. Bye.

Who'd you have winning it, McGuffy? I thought Boat Of Cheese, Bono On Canvas, and for once I thought my entries stood a decent chance this week.

Thanks! I never get to these contests before the first pages are taken; I think I had most of page 13! This is the first time, however, that anyone thought that one of mine should win. There were a couple people who mentioned it. Though my chops are not refined, I enjoy the challenge.

It's simple, really. I am a gutless, lazy, sadistic, retarded, vindictive fascist who uses this weekly Photoshop contest as a venue to act out my darkest power fantasies. Is that pretty much what you were looking for?

Or maybe I'm just a guy who helps run a contest where our company gives away some of our money, and somebody tried to cheat at the contest, and none of the judges caught the post linking to the plundered source, but I alluded to our suspicion in the original contest post, and as soon as I was made aware of our mistake, I corrected it.

Whatever sounds more plausible to you. Hysteria can be fun, I know. Thanks for playing!

WHATHEFARK? You didn't blame your failure(s) on someone just being a baby,
or a sore loser!

The defending of yourself sounds far more like the dismissing of others, nonetheless.

If you understood the meaning of "plausible," you would also understand there is
far more evidence to support your first explanation.

Okay, Mr. Unvindictive, where are my two Monkey Prizes?

Gratz to all the whiners,

Jason toon partial quote
"Or maybe I'm just a guy who helps run a contest where our company gives away some of our money"

It just goes to show that Good help is hard to find theses days. I just dont understand why there are still a few contest winners that still dont have thier winnings, even after repeated requests, how many times should they send in thier information ?
I gave up at 2 myself I just won a calender but some of these people want thier monkey's and it sounds like some are still waiting on thier cash prizes.
If Jason is just helping run this contest that means there are at least 2 employee's working on it and it makes me wonder just how many Woot employee's it takes to take care of the photoshop prize payout?
God help them if a lightbulb needs to be changed (I bet they call in a specialist for that)

How about: "Bitchin' Over Chakra138"

Wow I missed all the controversy today... whoa. Good job Toon for making things right. And no word from Chakra138, eh? Interesting. Got paid for contest 73 today as well... ah, the stars must be in alignment.

Congrats everyone!

Glad to see theregoesbill got an HM... I think his entry was one of the best executed concepts visually... true, the saying wouldn't have worked THAT well as a noun, but chop-wise, it's a keeper.

Bin 'O Chagrin was also one I thought would be up there.

So Chakra's banned, right?

Some amazing winners here but even though I was absent this contest, I will return for another honorable mention spot. That's right kids, aim high. Why even try to place in 1st, 2nd, or the almighty 3rd places? When you can get free shipping, go for the gusto. Seriously though, all you bitches will ph33r (notice the 3s, they can be substituted with 8s or 9s though if you like) my next photochoppageingtizzleasticnessisticty and the amount of HM that is stamped all over it.

2. The new 3rd place winner is crap.

The contests are good! We likes them precious! Don't leesen to dees nasty hobitses. They be trixey! Free money is good precious!

Congrats to everyone who won (even the one who won but then lost the win-the Winloser?). Especially mrgrod who got noticed.

I also wanna shout out to everyone who put out a 'Whatever' On Crack chop, the dual Boas on a Cessna entries, the Bright Orange 'Whatever' submissions (mine included) and lastly all the folks who got confused and not only created an image but first went to the trouble of thinking a new acronym for the b_a_g o_f c_r_a_p!

My personal fav (honestly) was the Backpack of Chance... cause it was riding that fine line between creativity and similarity.

Bearded Orange Clam, and thank you, but I never intended that one to place in the money; too risque for Mr. Toon.

And thanks to whomever liked Bono On Canvas - wasn't difficult to do, but I think it might have merited an HM if I wasn't on the blacklist.

Hey Photochoppers, this is an apology to Jason Toon and the judges.

I realized today that I at least had improperly impugned the judging and the judges lack of recognition of the 'stolen' image of Bobthebuilderstandingonanopenclamshell.

Several weeks ago, there was an incident after which they asked us to begin posting our source images if we expected to be judged as not having stolen our posted images. I kind of half-assedly recalled today that at that time, they requested that we report any images that we thought were stolen, and commented that they might not recognize our remarks within the thread about images that were stolen. I certainly forgot about this since then, and I expect a lot of us have also forgotten it. I don't believe that this image was reported; I certainly didn't report it when I saw the first link to the original image (I made my own photochop using it as a source). So, I have to apologize. I think I was wrong.

Of course, this does point out that lots of the people posting images may not have been around then, and so would not have seen the original comments. I suggest, then, that in the introduction each week, this point out to be made, that reporting 'stolen' images should be done, not just commenting on them. Ideally, such reportage would include links to the originals.

That's good stuff. Except the part about Jason Toon AND the judges, as if there was a need for plurality, but I digress...

My annoyance stems from the fact that the "judges" seem to be flying through the entries at breakneck speed, perhaps missing some fine detail that might otherwise make a winner, much more so than missing a stolen image.

Much like an autistic, the "judges" love Bling (remember R2D2?) and shadows/reflections. As such, I present my belated entry -

BLINGED OUT CRAP

P.S. Doing a reflection of an angled perspective object is very difficult. In fact, if you look at 'Stew's Oreo, you'll notice that his reflection is in the same orientation as the cookie it is reflecting (the part where the reflection meets the bottom of the cookie is actually the top of the cookie, making the reflection impossible). I'm not dissing you 'stew, I'm not fit to shine your monitor, I'm just sayin'...
