Bought it when it was offered recently--highly recommend. Great cleaning, amazing technology.

And absolutely, positively nothing better in the world for freaking out your cat...

I think thats when it would decide to drive itself off the stairs at a high rate of speed

Is it just me, or are there longer delays between products during this woot off than in past WOs? It seems like the sold out products are displayed for longer than they used to be.

Agreed...on all accounts. It is also a great example for kids who are interested in electronics/robotics but all they know is BattleBots and Transformers :-)

I got one the other day.

Ran it downstairs in the family room the first night. It was funny watching it find its way out from under the couches. The blue ray of death came on when it got near the bird cage as there was a lot of discarded bird food in front of it. It had a completely random way of vacuuming, so I was getting frustrated watching it pass by dirt. Decided to just go upstairs. Came back and floor was completely clean. Checked the bin(pretty full) and there was a kitkat wrapper my son probably threw behind the couch a few months ago and a receipt.

Ran it last night in my son's room. Another great job of cleaning. Checked the bin and the bracelet my son lost last week(rubber one's sold at convenience stores) was in it.

I think its worth the money. Just don't forget that you need to clean it every few uses

This little thing cleans very easily. It comes with a nifty little tool to get hair off the brushes. To empty the waste container on it, you just push the grey button on the back and it snaps right off.

This thing is great. I bought mine a few days ago when woot had them up. They will change your lifestyle, and really clean the heck out of your carpets. Almost better than the Blinged-Out Cabbage.

doomed wrote:Picked this up a week or two ago when it was offered. One word comes to mind when describing it... AWESOME

My place gets vaccumed every friday with a good quality Oreck vaccum and in general my apartment is always clean. I ran Roomba on Wednesday, and look at all the stuff it picked up! Gross... but still amazing.

I highly recommend this. Not as a replacement to a regular vaccum, but it will definately keep your place clean in between regular vaccuming.

FYI, I have both hardwood flooring and carpeting... this does a wonderful job on both.

DID YOU PAY EXTRA FOR THE MUSTASCHE ???

If I had to guess, I'd say it's all just dependant on how long it takes the last few credit cards to process. (Gotta make sure all the purchases are valid before moving on to the next item maybe...)

joymonkey wrote:I hear these do work good on carpet, but are no good with pet hair/fur.

They are not really good on carpet (do not replace a real vauuming of it once in a while, by any means) and are not good at all on cat hair. I bought one of these for my wife, as we have a few cats and it was pretty worthless for cleaning the carpet in rooms that they hang out in. (Ended up returning it to Bed, Bath, and Beyond.) Nice idea, just not quite up to the job.

Also, with the tiny tray that collects the pet hair, etc., you will have to stop and clean the tray quickly, if your pet sheds.

I just discovered Woot from a review for an item (not this) on Amazon. The reviewer mentioned that he got it at Woot and it was cr%p like most of the stuff he got from Woot.
Hahaha
I never heard of woot so me of course type in woot and here is this Roomba. I am a single dad and a pig and my boy and I had thought it would be cool to have a Roomba so I bought one. This is an older model but the price is right for the model with remote and I hate the red anyway.
I found the list of previous items that someone posts and this is the only item that I would have bought out of the last 30 days so it is one of those "coincidences" that are not.

depends on how many things are in its way, what type of floor, how dirty (will recog most dirt and go into a spot clean mode then resume)

These are great. My wife loves ours to pieces--they're just the thing for hardwood and low-nap carpet, and happily chase the dust bunnies where conventional vacuums have a tough time. Recommended this to a couple of friends when it was offered; they're happy so far, too.

Just bought the second one. Got one on the 31st and runs like a champ, so had this sent to my home in Tampa. I'd buy another, but I'd have to get another house.

So if I were able to get a Roomba Discovery with all of the following for ~$245 shipped would the almost $100 more be worth it? Or should I pop my woot cherry with this?

Included:
– Easy-empty, extra-large particle bin
– 3 replacement filters
– 2 virtual wall units
– Removable air filter
– Advanced rechargeable battery pack
– Plug-in charger

Actually, we have 5 dogs and it works great. Sure you have to clean it once in a while, but, what do you expect with 5 dogs. We have mostly carpeting in the house and this thing impresses me everytime it runs. A great deal. It won't replace a "real" vacumn cleaner, but it sure does a heck of a job for those inbetween times. Plus I don't have to push it around.

I am the eBay guru (laff).
Check the completed items to see what they end up selling for and you will discover that it is pretty much the same price (don't forget to factor in shipping).

Bought mine last week and fired it up for the first time last night. My two ridgeback dogs (short haired shedders) barked and watched while it cleaned up after them.

It got a ton of hair and lint off the floor (rugs and wood).
And I got a thumbs-up from my wife!

If you are on the fence... go for it. Pretty good product!

Thanks woot!

Up until buying this model just now (first time, dont break my heart woot), I had been regretting not getting it the last time it was up a week or 2 ago. Like others have said, a perfect gift.
