Happy Music Monday! Today's a good day to rock, isn't it? IT MOST CERTAINLY IS!

Motorhead - Ace Of Spades

If you didn't see this coming you simply haven't been paying attention to my Music Monday posts.

!\m/ \m/! See you after the jump! !\m/ \m/!

Killing Joke - Asteroid

Yes, I know I've posted this song before. I don't care. I JUST DON'T CARE, PEOPLE. THIS SONG ROCKS.

Jimi Hendrix - Third Stone From The Sun

We're gonna slow it down a little, but we won't stop the rock. Hendrix could turn his chosen instrument into a groovy jazz sound or a serious pre-metal slam, but the rock was always there. Go on, if you don't believe us, give it the test. Play it while driving and see if you get pulled over for speeding. If yes, song = rock.

Slayer - Angel Of Death

In my opinion what makes this song rock the most is how easy it is for a new fan to sing along. FLABRL WAZZLE BLADDLE GNAA GNAA GNAA ANGEL OF DEAAAAAATH. It's easy to miss that it's actual about the horrors of the Holocaust. The band, of course, has always maintained that this song is not in support of the event, just an attempt to talk about the horrors they'd been reading about. And possibly also slam the crap out of the drums. I personally believe they accomplish both.

The Who - Love, Reign O'er Me

Why did I pick this song over all the other Who songs that seem more rocking? Partly to show that rock doesn't always mean slamming the crap out of the drums. And partly for that moment at the end when the lightning hits after five minutes of build up. Yeah, you know the moment I mean. THAT'S rockin'.

Further rock goes below! And let us also just remind you: some images come from the corresponding Wikipedia page and are here under fair use. See you next week.

Yeah, Ace of Spades is okay, but is it made out of orgones? No, it is not.

The Orgone Accumulator is made out of orgones.

Also: it is a generally understood principle that no one rocks harder in the name of the Devil than Coven.

Wicked Woman

Also: ZZ Top. Doesn't even need a full sentence.

A tip of my hat to The Who - Love Reign O'er Me. That's hard to beat.

But if this song doesn't make you want to drive 110 mph, nothing will.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.
