Just the system you need for the KIDS Room. As to the entertainment room, forget it. 200 to 20K lacks the bottom end. But for the kids, this will keep them from sending the base through the house. 1% THD is also for the kids.

although, i will say.... Aspire is a VERY reliable brand from my experience.

Yes. Just hammer the glass bases to the wall with ten penny nails. Should look great sticking out three feet into the living room.

225 max wattage? Egh. For $200-$300 you can get a 1000W 5.1 system with amp and a built-in DVD player at Wal-Mart. Better, you can go to soundwaves or Best Buy and get a nice receiver and separate speakers where the quality is determined only by the amount you want to spend. I definitely recommend saving up the extra cash and getting a nicer system; the performance-per-dollar of a $200 Pioneer or $300 Sony system is so much better than what woot is offering.

Aspire claims that these are 200W, not the 150W that Woot says.

In exactly what sense is this "digital?"

Whoops, nevermind, I only just noticed that "Aspire Digital" is the name of the company.

these look pretty nice... and understand that BOSE speakers dont take that much power either. These are small and so such is the power... They should be nice. I want one, if the boss lets me..

That's just for the tower speakers, the sub has seperate specs... it says it goes to 18hz... the low end is what's kept me from buying a speaker system so far, this one may have me hooked...

I cant stand all you fools who end their comments with things like "...too bad i already have <insert brand name here>..." Yeah well, you paid alot more than this darn woot, and if your stuff is so damn great why are you bargain shopping on here?

I don't think the power output is quite high enuf to produce the sound I need. 25 watts per channel is okay but I prefer much bigger sound that comes from my Sony system.

The cheapest I could find these was $149 + $49 shipping. Seems like a fairly good deal on some good, modestly adequate, home theater speakers. I'm gonna pass, though.
