Archos is the Walmart of electronic devices. Nothing 'Archos' has ever worked properly for me. But that picture is hilarious.

While I have never used their portable media players, I have used their Jukebox Recorders. The firmware and operating system on them had much to be desired and working with their customer service/technical support staff has been a nightmare. The O/S would frequently crash and was very feature bare, and the unit I sent for service simply refused to power-up after only 1 month of minimal use (was mostly in a desk drawer). I had to file a BBB complaint to get them to return my calls and even then they returned my unit to me without repair. Since then I have vowed never again to support this company.

$30 more and i can get the E Model that works with my Dish Network Box. Goodnight Woot.

Because it has a larger, higher resolution screen, and actually plays avi files. It also works like a hard drive so you dont have to use iTunes to get stuff on it. For video, ipod is pure crap.

I think I'll pass on purchasing from woot for a while. Your choice of images is insulting and in poor taste.

Ooh. I absolutely LOVE the picture. I just wish I still had my old 50 yard line student seats. I love the Archos too- but saving for a wedding puts the $100+ impulse buy option out the window.

AVI is NOT a file format... it's a file container. Big difference (with particularly big differences when it comes to format support...).

WOOOOO....someone said u can buy an iPod for 250----have u ever seen the picture clarity on an archos? Do u know how many file types it supports? do u know anything about it. My brother won an iPod video in a raffle. He told me, and mine u, psychologically he should want to defend his purchase, that the iPod is an MP3 player with video features. The Archos is a video player. No Comparisson. Archos is also easier for pirated software, By the way. no crap here, this is Gold.

The pic is from the Texas/Oklahoma football game from last weekend. Oklahomo got stomped and I guess the little dude was heartbroken.... I was at work watching the game and laughed my ass off!!
