You'll have to contact Woot and beg them to increase the order to 2. They may, if they have any left over.

so...it's a charger for devices. yet it requires a charge? ok wait...so...the chrager charges things once charged. so if you need to charge something, you can plaug it in to this, only after you've plugged this in and charged it for 6 hours? hold up...so you charge what needs to be charged with this because you thought, "i think i should take a charger with me to the mountains...er wherever." so when the thing charges the things, does that charge negate the first charge, thus taking a step back to go a step forward?

This would be pretty ballzy if it had enough voltage to run my laptop, but as it stand it looks like it could only work with my cellphone. My digital camera has an external charger so that is no-go.

It took me forever to find specs on this item cause of all the "noise" on this forum, I think woot needs an "off-topic" forum for the woot offs so the retards can go play.

Although it's probably moot (irrelevant, NOT to be confused with WOOT, which is never irrelevant), since this item is no longer available, have you seen the official website for this product:
http://www.zapworld.com/ProductDetail.aspx?id=1508[/quote] ?

List price is $80 !!!

Anyone receive shipment notice yet? I know that it may be a little early, having been a woot-off purchase and all, but just curious.

This happens sometimes - I ordered three items and two shipped right away, this one is waiting.

Longest I ever waited was two weeks, usually it's on the road in three days or less -

Staff

Woot-off orders take a bit longer to ship than a normal item (2-3 business days). The warehouse folks are working extra hard to make sure everything gets out by this weekend. Hopefully orders will arrive before Christmas, but Fedex/UPS won't give that guarantee. That said, a lot of people have received shipping notices in the last day or two, and some people have received their items. It shouldn't be long now.

Did you know shirt.woot ships internationally? Get you some!

Got it this morning. The charge showed up at the bank a day or two ago. The link to this thread in the e-mail was broken. It didn't have a thread number in the URL.

I'm glad I saw this battery. It will come in handy during the 24hr race in Daytona. I know am going to be shooting pictures like mad. I have a portable hard drive device to dump my memory cards to but I don't trust the battery to last long enough to fill up the 80Gb drive. This battery will give me the extra juice I might need. It could come in handy keeping my Palm Tungsten running too.

Got my shipment. It's charging up now. Was anyone else able to find out about if this battery will be safe to use with an iPod? It has an USB out so the USB cable should be able to be used for charging and/or running it, is this correct?

If the iPod charges via USB I don't see why you wouldn't be able to charge it with this battery. I have a Palm device that charges via USB and I expect the battery to work with it. I have a little thing that plugs into my car's power adapter with a USB out connection. I charges all my USB devices just fine, you just have to have the USB cable for that device. My car charger only shows 2 of the 6 pins a normal USB device has. I guess those are the power and ground pins.

Mine appears to be complete. A little celophane bag in the box had two yellow coiled power cords, 5 white adapters and the black resistor adapter.

Mine came as mentioned above, 2 coiled cords, one of them usb, 5 adaptors, and a clear plastic belt case.
All in all, it'll work for it's intended purpose.

The plastic case is a little underwhelming but all in all its good. Just enough time to charge it up for the cross country trek starting today.

The shiny side is a great signal mirror for those lost in the woods... it also smudges just like the backside of an ipod...

both of mine have been charging for about 5 hours and still only 1 light of power (~25%?). it says the recharge time is 6 hours, does that mean that it takes 6 hours to charge whatever you plug into it or it takes 6 hours to charge the battery itself? 25% after 5 hours seems like something is not right... Anyone else's first charge experiences so far??

Same here. Been on charge for 5 hours and still only 1 light. Box says it has on/off switch, but can't see it anywhere.
