It’s kinda like a netbook, only without any of that pesky portablilty.

Who needs to carry a computer everywhere they go? When I go to a coffee shop, I’m there for the folk music open-mic night and that bitter black nectar that fuels my very being. When I’m at a bar, even if it has wi-fi, all I want is a good drink and a kind bartender with an open ear to my marital problems and a cab on speed dial for when I begin sobbing about how I’ve become the failure my father knew I’d be.

Besides, this eMachines Desktop computer has got better features than those fancy netbooks, anyway. Sure, it’s got a 1.6GHZ AMD Athlon™ II X2 Dual-Core Processor and Windows 7 like a lot of netbooks, but you get a bigger, faster 750GB 7200rpm SATA hard drive, 8-channel high-definition audio, and a 16x DVD±R/RW SuperMulti drive. Think of it as something nice to come home to and curl up with for a little “you” time. Eww. Not in that way, pervert.

Maybe it’s just me, but not being shackled to a computer in your bag all hours of the day just seems simpler. After all, isn’t that what smartphones are for?
