This device cannot be understood directly, but by induction alone.

In astronomy, "Dark Matter" is the hypothetical mass that makes up the bulk of the universe. It cannot be observed, and is only inferred by its gravitational effects on observable matter. Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy Player 5" tablet can only be understood in terms of what it is NOT. It's not a phone (it connects by Wi-Fi), and to call it a tablet is pretty misleading (it's pocket-sized at 5").

So what is it? That which it is not. 

Here's what we do know: The Galaxy has 8GB of storage for music, apps, and whathaveyou. It plays flash in-browser, and features Android Gingerbread OS. But bear in mind that none of these features have been observed directly, but only hypothesized to exist based on interaction effects.

The mass of the 5" tablet is calculated at 6.42 ounces - less than half a pound. This figure was reached by subtracting the OBSERVED mass of the universe from the THEORIZED mass based on red-shift expansion rates of the universe. Sound complicated? It is!

But all you need to know is that this mysterious device maintains the portability of a phone with the usability of a tablet. Just as light photons are simultaneously particles and waves, the Galaxy exists in both categories simultaneously.  We know it's hard to imagine, and it's best to simply accept it rather than try to comprehend it fully with our feeble human minds.
