Behold, the tablet! Bastion of enhanced productivity, computing on the fly, and accessory to business proposals, meetings, meal planning, and public transportation. At least, that’s what the commercials would have you believe. But come on. Let’s be honest. We know how you guys work, and we’re pretty sure 90% of you are just going to install Angry Birds on this thing and use it to Google random factoids during conversation.
And there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s a perfectly fine use for a refurbished Samsung Galaxy 7” 16GB Android Tablet with Wi-Fi and 3G. Just don’t give us this malarkey about how your “productivity” has increased or how you’re able to “work on the go.” We know what productivity you’re talking about, and we know what you mean by “on the go,” and they both refer to reading your favorite cooking blog while you’re on the toilet.

So get yourself a tablet, if you’re so inclined. You can delight in the Android 2.2 platform, use it to Google Map your route to the grocery store or something, and use the 3MP camera to take…uh, kind of unimpressive photos. Maybe you can use it as just a portable PDF reader. That’s sort of neat, right? You got lots of PDFs to read, buddy?
