“So I was talking to Cammie today. You remember me telling you about Cammie, don’t you? The really nice girl who’s always making desserts for the office and has that unfortunate scar?

“Uh huh.”

“Well, she was telling me that apparently George in accounting has been twittering about a woman at work that he likes, which is so obviously Janet, but she’s completely clueless about the whole thing because she uses Buzz and not Twitter.”

“Uh huh.”

“So, yeah, then Tammy figures out George likes Janet and puts up this little passive-aggressive status update on Facebook saying that somebody seems to be ‘desperate for attention’. Ugh, I can not believe her sometimes. She can’t stand not being the center of attention.”

“Uh huh.”

“Gosh, this is so great. I’ve really missed these conversations, haven’t you?”

“Uh huh.”

“I know I was a bit snippy about you spending so much time playing your games and such. Now that you have those Steelseries Siberia Gaming Headphones, though, you can listen to your game AND hold a conversation with me at the same time. Even if you’re listening to your MP3 player or handheld gaming device, you can still hear all about my day. It totally makes me feel better about our relationship.”

“Uh huh.”

“Oh, I almost forgot. I’m going in for that community theatre audition this weekend. I’ve got my resume all done, but I can’t help but think I’m forgetting something.”
