Once upon a time, there was a woman named Sherri who was a ahem dancer.

And Sherri one day met a very rich man who bought the ahem dance club and planned to fire everybody and set up a Saudi Arabian restaurant instead. Sherri knew she had to do something or she’d be unemployed, so she made the very rich man an offer.

“Very rich man,” she said, “I’ll hook up my XtremeMac InCharge Duo Charger for iPhone & iPod and hit play, and you’ll listen to all of my music. If you give up before the music does, you’ll give me the club. But if the music gives up before you do, I’ll give you a dollar.”

Now, of course, a sane person would never take this bet. But it just so happened that the very rich man had an undiagnosed gambling addiction, so he jumped at the chance to win against such high stakes. The bet was on!

The next day, Sherri plugged her iPhone into the XtremeMac InCharge Duo Charger for iPhone & iPod. The first song played, and then stopped. There was silence.

“Is that it?” said the very rich man. “Did I win already?”

“No, no!” said Sherri. “It’s just one of those moments where the music stops and then comes back in.”

“Oh,” said the very rich man. “You mean a Clearmountain pause?”

“Exactly!” said Sherri. And sure enough, the music came right back. And the very rich man kept on listening.

But Sherri was a very clever ahem dancer, and she’d planned that first pause on purpose. When the music on the first device was running out, Sherri just switched to the second, and pretended the delay was a Clearmountain pause. And the very rich man was none the wiser. Mostly because he wasn’t really into modern technology. If he’d read Endgadet or something this never would have happened.

Anyway, Sherri kept on playing him music, and eventually, the very rich man just sighed and gave up. Sherri had done it! She’d saved her job! All her friends ran in and gave her big hugs for what she had done. And they lived happily ever after! For about a year, until one day the manager took Sherri aside and told her that she wasn’t earning enough in tips and maybe she was getting too old for this. The end.
