I have a few of these. Works well for what it is. Battery life could be longer.

Good price. These things A) Last forever, B) Are pretty bright, and C) the batteries within also last a long time.

I have one and it lasted for over a year and now it won't make a good contact and won't stay lit by itself without fiddling with the screw on cap/end.

I loved it while i had it working, it survived some abuse and even got lost in a pond one time for a while before i fished it out.

Be nice to them it should last a long time.

The beam is pretty good for 1 AAA

These are decent flashlights, but dont expect them to be ones that youll trust forever. The quality of build isnt superior. They make a great keychain flashlight for about 6 months. Then youll find them in your junk drawer 10 years later.

I have an LED flashlight and I can tell you they are blindingly bright.

How bright are these? I know that LEDs are bright...but would they be a nice glove compartment companion?

The beam length is only about 10 ft? Wow, that's pretty short. Good maybe just for indoor use?

After my tactical purchase a few days ago "These are not the flashlights I'm looking for."

Listen to me now, or hear me say "I told you so" later.

Here's a copy of the warranty. Though I can't think of a time that I ever needed a warranty for a flashlight before.

What does the "mcd" in "Lumens: 50000mcd" mean?

Are these things tough, tough to survive being smashed around in a bag with kevlar and stuff, looks like it would be great if they are durable.

They are rated at Lumens: 50000mcd

These are actually pretty decent, and the nichia is a decent led. Expect about 5-15 lumens and good battery life. However I think some people may find them a little big for the keychain. Thats a good price though.

Not quite the quality you get on a fire dept but still not bad to just throw on a set of keys. lol

mcd is a different unit than lumens. can be converted, but lumens is a unit, brightness is what lumes and mcd measure.

where's the Woot video of this being tossed from a 2-story bldg and run over by cars?

I can't see them being too big given they only use one AAA battery.

MCD=millicandela

1 candela = 1 lumen/steradian
(basically what the light output of this is.)

Heres a website where you can calculate how many lumens this flashlight is:

Are these light (hah!) enough to, say, tape to a pair of glasses to use like one of those headband things?

As a man, I note that like women with their shoes, I can never have enough flashlights. I'm in for three pair and if I did the math right, that works out to three bucks per.

Nothing my boys like better than to play with flashlights. At this price they can have lots of fun.

At this price you can leave one or two in the car, the diaper bag, the kitchen drawer why even on your keychain!

Oops, my Tiara slipped!

I have one I paid $6 for at walmart. Pretty decent for the size but not a tactical light or anything. I mean, it runs on 1 AAA battery and is the size of my little finger.

It is great for low-light work when I don't want to pull out the 115 lumen blaster. This is the type of flashlight you can actually turn on in a dark club without offending everyone's eyes.

See this is why I come to the discussion board before I click I WANT ONE.

At first glance I thought these were huge, handheld flashlights. I saw 3.99 and had a small orgasm...

NOW, however, I know they're keychains.
Silly me.

Me: Check out my joke bouncy ball I'm selling on ebay!
Woot: Don't sell things in your signature, please.
LOL
