Back to School Advice From Woot Employees

by Grace Queen

From kindergarten to college, going back to school is an exciting time. No matter your age, there are always new things to learn and new friends to make. To celebrate the start of a new school year, we went around the Woot offices and asked our employees for their best “Back to School” advice. Here’s what they said:

Aaron G. (computer guy): “I saved money in college by using my roommate’s shampoo. Also- did you know you can use shampoo as a substitute for just about any other type of soap? Dish detergent, laundry detergent, Windex- it’s all basically shampoo!”

Molly M. ({job_title="true"): “There’s no “I” in team. And there’s also no “I” in group project…Group projects are lame.”

Michael B. (valued employee?): “Hide your lunch money where your bullies will never find it- in a book.”

Andrew M. (beer delivery guy): “You can totally cook ramen noodles in a crockpot- but you absolutely should not. It’s really gross and it will make your entire room smell like burnt salty chicken”

VJ (company hype-man): “If you don’t have time to read the book, just watch the movie. If you don’t have time to watch the movie, just listen to the soundtrack on the way to take the test.”

Dillon V. (typewriter operator): “You can only fake breaking your leg once- so make it count.”

Remember folks, learning is a lifelong journey. No matter what subject you point your brain-compass at, you’re going to end up somewhere. So maybe bring a snack?
