A Woot Classic Moment
We’re having so much fun
being lazy reading these old write-ups that we’ve decided to share them with you through the end of our 10th birthday month! Check out this refurb- uh, classic.
By the Light of the Silvery Watch (November 2006): "Oh, no! You’re sitting down to dinner with your future in-laws or some important prospective clients and you feel the transformation coming. Stubble sprouting on your face and hands, canine teeth extending and sharpening, spine arching, an intense craving for venison: you’re shifting into your wolf form. Nobody wants to do business with a werewolf, let alone allow their daughter to marry one. You’re sure to lose that girl/contract now – and all because you forgot about the full moon tonight.
The Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Calibre 8651 Moon Phase Watch is the silvery bullet that could’ve kept your nighttime problem from ruining your waking life. Not only does it continuously absorb natural and artificial light through its Eco-Drive battery-charging feature, it also features a subdial solely dedicated to tracking the phases of the moon. And that’s on top of month and day subdials, luminous hands, and baton subdial markers. (Well, not literally on top of all that stuff. Adjacent to it, more like.) Polished and brushed links alternate on the stainless-steel band, while the mineral crystal resists scratching, reflection, and water up to 100 meters. Not that werewolves are big swimmers anyway, but it’s nice to know.
As shimmery and glimmery as old Luna herself, the Citizen Men’s Eco-Drive Calibre 8651 Moon Phase Watch looks equally great with formal dress, casualwear, or a dense coat of fur. However, we’re not sure how well blood washes off of it, so we recommend removing it before you venture into the night to feed your lust for carnage."
