Howdy y'all. I like using y'all because non-native English speakers don't understand it so I usually can't use it here. Anyway, my wife's music school helps sponsor a guitar festival every year with a German music school across the river. Several guitar professors from Poland, Germany, Denmark and other places come and hold workshops for the students. Each night there is a concert. Last night the performer was the best acoustic guitar player you have probably never heard of. His name is Clive Carroll and he is from Essex, England. He has written music and played guitar in films and other stuff. We invitedd him to our house Wednesday night to have a little wine (and a little vodka too) and he spent the night since nobody could drive. Last night he played a concert for almost two hours and he was fantastic. All kinds of styles, all good. here is a sample from a different concert of his. The song at 7.35 was just amazing, it's called Oregon. He is a really cool guy too. What a great night of music. Tonight was Renaissance music with lute and a soprano singer, I left at halftime.

My dogs like me, that is important.

howdy back atcha. I love using y'all, esp when I visit my friends in Scotland. When their boys were little they would beg me to 'talk like that' so I would pull out my best drawling southern imitation. It would always have to end with 'love y'all!'

the music stuff sounds neat - haven't gone to listen to the clip but I will. And yeah, a lutinist and a soprano...mmm...no. Am sure it was pretty, but not my cuppa tea.

You did more than I did today. I got the dining room table cleared off, which was a major undertaking.

Oh My! That will get the heart racing! I'd be too embarrassed to have it in the house though. Too many aunts aroud, and its embarrassing.

I do have a friend who would really enjoy it. Hummmm all this Christmas talk has got me thinking.

Pointed are for pulling things out of wounds. Less surface so you can get in tighter spaces.

Thanks for the ideas. His diet hasn't changèd in ages. He has corn flakes with raisins and a banana every morning. For lunch he has this 'stew' concoction he makes. [vegetable beef soup, sliced carrots, vienna sausages, creamed corn, and rutabegas all mixed together) For dinner he usually has either a pbj, pbj + cheese, or chicken salad sandwich. He may change if he has gone out and had leftovers. He also drinks two or three glucerna, coffee, and green tea.

Thanks for the info about the tweezers. They were in a pack of tweezers I bought. I have never seen pointed ones before.

The top of my dining room table is rarely visible.
It is the first room you walk into (I've looked around the neighborhood, it is common with cape cods that have been expanded) and it is always a mess.

Went to Bob Evans for breakfast this morning. Terrible. Of the home fries (both of us) half the potatoes were undercooked. Husband had finished his breakfast before his toast came. I was almost done when my mayonnaise came. Skip that place on a weekend morning.

Hey everybody! The sun is shinning. Other than that nothing to report. Hubby has rented a booth at the local flea market to sell off his treasures. My job will be to keep the coffee and cookies available.

They only had one sip and the cups were taken away. They might be on too many meds. Or, since they were all in their 90s, wanted to make sure they could walk off the stage.

Had d-i-l's birthday dinner today. All went well. The sons brought all the Christmas stuff up from the basement since husband can't go up and down the steps a gazillion times and I won't. Card club is at my house Dec. 16th, so everything has to be done by then. Also need to get to PA again before Christmas weather permitting. Going to start early. The tree is up. Will probably have to dust it.

In order for the kids to do it, it had to come upstairs today. It's three pieces so easier to put together than have three pieces sitting around. It's not decorated and won't be for a while, it's just there.
