Just wanted to chime in about Onkyo receiver issues. I've had them, too. HOWEVER, even though my receiver was YEARS out of warranty (purchased in March, 2009), they just fixed the HDMI issue at no charge this August with a simple email. It appears that they've recognized their quality has decreased and are trying to do whatever they can to regain their name in the market. I would not hesitate to buy another Onkyo, even reconditioned. I really appreciate what they're doing instead of ignoring the issues/customers. Thanks.
