The disapointment... I mean anticipation is real. First I get home yesterday to find a box on the porch...but not it was some other crap. Then I get home today and no box yet...still out for delivery!
Long time lurker...first time purchaser...and it's a Bet on Cold!

Can someone explain what the "letters" people have been talking about are?

Ooooh, letters: Inside some otherwise 'normal' Bet on Cold's are letters. More like greeting cards. They ask if you would really seriously like MORE crap. You do some secret thing (I suppose an email to somewhere with a secret handshake) and *then* Woot sends you Mega Crap. Has been known to arrive on a pallet. Sometimes many things wrapped together with a 'spin-wrapper'. Sometimes many boxes on said pallet. Often a wide variety of things - has included a TV, or music keyboard. Once was just One Giant Sculpted Metal Chicken! Once was many toilets (oh fun). Once many cases of car wax. So Yuze Takz Your Chanzes with Mega Crap!

Congrats on your first purchase!! And how fitting you set the bar so low with a Bet on Cold!!

The woot letters are randomly bestowed upon a few lucky (or unlucky) wooters in their Bet on Cold. You follow the instructions in the letter because woot has something extra special I store for you. Usually is a pallet of exceptionally crappy crap. Many years ago, my mom received a pallet of very old retro computer joysticks... Last year, a wooters received a 6ft tall metal rooster (I wonder how Wooster is doing these days?). May the odds be ever in your favor....

The main haul... TONS of random crap. Some of which I can use, some of which I cannot. I will find many chances in which to wear the NANA NANA NANA NANA BATMAN tee, though. Not sure what the big army green bag contains (the label was incomplete), though a quick search of what was legible leads me to think it's a hammock. (Awesome!)

Dog tax. Lando is super stoked about his Woot Monkey... and I had to wrestle it away from him to get a good photo. (Woot Monkey did not come pre-slobbered.)

This one's about 5 minutes long; I kept filming because I didn't realize we'd gotten to the end of the stuff.

So what did we end up with?

  • Paper question-mark bag
  • Vacuum carafe (Nice, but not needed)
  • In-car holder/charger for smartphones (Maybe the wife will claim?)
  • Basic biology textbook
  • Waaay not-basic robotics book
  • Crappy ice scraper (My second, for the other car I guess)
  • IKEA outdoor solar lights (Kiddo likes)
  • Axe pizza cutter (Holding onto it for a gag gift)
  • My second pair of really crappy pliers from a Bet on Cold (Seriously, these are awful)
  • Seafood-themed gambling dice game (10 minutes playtesting was enough for a lifetime)
  • Hammock with built-in mosquito netting (Without a manual, but if we figure out how to get it set up it could come in handy)
  • Not Easy Being Green shirt by paxdomino (A bit big and adult-beveragey for Kiddo, but he likes)
  • Cycling jersey (Sure, why not)

Kiddo #1 managed to snatch satisfaction from the jaws of disappointment thanks to the shirt and (I think) the lights. Kiddo #2 will be disappointed when she finds out we didn't delay the unboxing a few days until she returns. (It's my commitment to the Woot community!)

My work here is done. Pedant-man, AWAAYYY!!!

I am overwhelmed at the wonderful things in my Bet on Cold! Thank you so much Woot! There is too much to list but some of my favorites were the bluetooth sleep mask, magic coffee mug, star cats shirt, taco shell bowl makers, hair brushes, shampoo & serum, the wooden kendama game, sewing kit, and of course my monkey! Thank you so very much!

That was some quick crap this time!

  • t-shirt - size M
  • Flying woot! monkey
  • one rain coat for a 4 legged varmint of some sort - maybe a large gopher? It's fits the kid's kermit doll, anyway.
  • Baby Fashion Shoes - size 12-18 months, color "wine red"
  • "Crappy Ice Scraper" - perfect for spring rain and mud
  • shirt.woot! sticker
  • 2 empty plastic bottles
  • "Used, Very Good" VGA monitor cable
  • paper bag
  • power hub (that thing that looks like a mouse, but isn't)
  • "Strategic Management" used book - goes perfectly w/ the tee
  • pink pencil tin
  • GI Magnets
  • open bag of balloons. Kind of afraid to use them and catch cooties
  • 2 random phone cases - iphone 5c & galaxy s6
  • 5K Kendama - wooden catch the ball game. I'm sure my kids can destroy another tv with it
  • Aloha Kendamas - I think it's a fancy top? Not really sure.
  • Make Your Own Taco Bowl - my husband was unreasonably excited about this item.

Mine has arrived but I'm unfortunately not home to greet it. Luck has me sitting waiting as my cracked windshield gets replaced. As I may have mentioned when I got the Bet on Cold , I really needed the win, it's been a rough week. Looks like some good craps out there! Kind of hoping for some of those army men magnets for the hubs as he loved playing with them as a kid (a letter would be sweeter but hey I'm setting my bar lower this time)!!! Time will tell.

First time purchasing a fine bag o' crap from this establishment.

  • Set of bathroom floor mats
  • Creepy cat t-shirt (medium)
  • Knitted holiday cap and faux-beard face mask
  • Empty plastic bottle
  • Aquarium aeration stone
  • JBL Flip Bluetooth Speaker (broken AC adapter)
  • iPhone 6/6s case
  • Samsung Galaxy 6 Edge case
  • Handheld manual sewing machine
  • Crappy ice scrapper
  • Rear light for a bicycle
  • Shirt Woot sticker
  • Pine Sol scrub brush
  • Plastic rose with a rolled-up note
  • Woot monkey with blue cape
  • Paper "bag o' crap" bag

The handheld sewing machine is pretty handy. Already repaired a pair of shorts with it.

The real gem is the JBL Flip bluetooth speaker. When I tried plugging it in it didn't turn on, which I imagine is why it wound up in this bag o' crap. Whipped out my multimeter and found it was just the included AC adapter that was busted. I dug out a spare 12V AC adapter to charge it up and it works great. It's a little dented and dusty and the box is torn apart, but apparently the MSRP is $100 and its sound quality reflects the price (minus a little weak bass), so pretty good! Going to give it to my dad, as he's currently using some cheap Chinese knock-off bluetooth speaker he bought off eBay.

Oh Boy! It was such a crap-tastic day!
I waited ever so patiently for Mr. UPS man to bring me my disappointment. He did not fail!

What a crap load, that Brown brought me! ;)
1. Surface Pro 4 case
2. The worst storage container, with a loose fitting lid
3. Photo album tin
4. Toilet seat hemorrhoid seat cover. I may need it after this load of crap!
5. Collapsible storage bin
6. Camping water bowl
7. Book on learning Statistics. (Woot is starting me a library collection with these. )
8. Dog Grooming Brush
9. Selfie Stick
10. Spider-Man Telescope to look for the Green Goblin
11. SARCASM T-shirt that would only fit the vertically challenged.
12. WOOT Shirt sticker
13. A sealed mystery box, which caused a bit of excitement until upon opening. Turned out as the greatest disappointment. A box of casters. (Just a sick prank TT!)
14. A Blue Flying WOOT Monkey! The only thing worth a CRAP in this Bag O' Crap.
This, being Bet on Cold #3 for me, was the most disappointing one! Thanks for keeping your promise Woot!
