Just need to keep my eyes open for about another hour and a half.
Dad hasn't slept since 11 a.m. Sunday. He is still fidgeting. He was running a fever this morning about 3:30. No poop since last Saturday.
I had the most fun last night. A couple I know from church came over last night. Dad and I had already decided to give her dad's newest hearing aids.
She and dad hear about the same amount. Having them together is aways funny. Sadly dad didn't know them last night.
Anywho, When dad got upgraded to this pair he gave her the older pair. It totally revolutionized her life. It was so fun watching her respond to the things she was hearing!
Last night I decided to trade hearing aids with her and dad. The ear molds are personalized and one just needs to switch them, so I did. Part of what was so fun was watching her when I linked her phone to the hearing aids. Normally she needs to use the speaker phone and then her husband still has to translate what's being said. With the new set it goes straight to the hearing aids. It was a blast watching her "hear" her phone, without it being on speaker, for the first time since I've known her!
It also helped with watching dad fidget and not know me, knowing that his gift is changing a dear friend's life. He will actually change two lives; once he dies I will give the older set to my Uncle Earl. He lost one of his and ths pair will be wonderful. Plus with my aunt using the transmitter he wil be able to hear her voice much easier. It is nice to know that something of dad's will bless two other people directly after he dies. It makes this part more bearable.
