THIS is where all the pile ups happen every year by us.

"ODOT initially reduced the speed limit to 50 mph, then announced a second reduction - to 40 mph -- on Wednesday evening."

ANY PREDICTIONS ABOUT HOW WELL THIS IS GOING TO WORK!

They replaced the speed limit signs with ones with illuminated numbers so they can be changed as needed.

LOL!!!

"Elston drew on his experiences over the years traveling from gig to gig, watching cows grazing as the tour bus sped by. “We’d be on the road, touring, and that meant riding the bus for hours at a time,” Elston told me. “We’d drive past pastures, cotton fields, cornfields. I’d always see these cows, just grazing, so peaceful, and I’d think to myself, ‘You know, they have it made. They just graze and shit!’”

Ultimately, Elston’s observation about those moments of serenity led to the Friends of Distinction’s first hit record.

Aw man... Back in the Grotto after a long couple of days. Traveled for work yesterday. Hour on a plane, but about 8 behind the wheel. Got home real late, then got up and worked another long day. Friday, here I come.

daveinwarshington wrote:Has anyone here tried a ROKU plug-in TV thing?

I believe I mentioned on a recent post that we don't do antenna or cable/satellite, just streaming.

A Google Chromecast is our streaming device of choice. We love it. Super easy to cast to a TV from a phone or tablet... The TV doesn't even need to be on - it just turns on automatically.

Can't speak for the Roku, but I'm sure it's similar. Chromecast doesn't really have an interface like others do but they're super cheap (usually go on sale for $20-30 around Christmas time).

hey greens!!

had a nice time at the concert. that Todd has a fantastic voice. he ended with "hello, it's me" and prefaced it with "do you have any ideas how many times I've sung this song?" LOL

however... the theater is 100+ years old. we were in the middle of a row. mr. mbspell is 6'5" - not a very comfortable fit. luckily there was no one next to him so he could sit sideways. he had considered buying tickets to another show at this theater, but now won't bother.

updated weather forecast...
plowable snow

This is too damn true.
The new kids they were hiring right before I retired... were just lazy.
They would whine if they had to do anything resembling work & thought they knew what they were doing...
grumble grumble...
Glad I retired...

Was texting cklun and mbspell...

10:26...

Went to school on an off night to finish my final project.
Miscommunication.
Neither of us came home to feed Noodles or let him out.
14 hours is a long time to be stuck inside.
Oops.

Oogie was wondering why he was acting nutso.

At 10:45...

Oh shit. Realized that she did NOT feed him. I just did. Long time since breakfast at 6am.

I didn't even know he was hungry when he was whining. Thought he needed to go out. Then he started licking his bowl trying to get the crusty dried bits. Oops
