Happy Music Monday! You know, without every person who reads, comments, shares or visits our TurntableFM room, we wouldn't be here. That's why today we wanna say thank you. Yes, to you, loyal reader. We don't deserve a nice person like you. You're out of our league.

Fitz & The Tantrums - Out Of My League

In some alternate world where radio was still super-important, this would be the smash hit we'd hear a million times from now until September. And every time it came on, we'd think of you. How did we rate such a great person like you on our itty bitty blog?

Today's your special day with Music Monday. See you after the jump for our continuing saluteā€¦ to you.

As always, remember our Spotify playlist will be featuring a great selection from last week's Music Monday comments. The theme of the mix this time is Songs About God. Even pop stars can love a higher power. But before you start reminiscing, check out our current Music Monday, right now. Why? Because we gotta thank you properly.

Led Zeppelin - Thank You

We don't say it enough: you matter to us. Every comment, every page hit, every time you say HEY I AM OUT HERE NOTICING WHAT YOU DO. It matters to us, knowing you care. And we thank you for it.

Foo Fighters - My Hero

It doesn't matter that you're just normal people stopping in and goofing off. To us, you're the only thing between a positive performance review and living in a cardboard box on the street. We dance at your whim, sweet visitors. And that makes you a hero in our book.

Ike & Tina Turner - I've Been Loving You Too Long very slightly NSFW due to on stage banter

Each week, we try to put together a nice mix of the very highest quality. All the songs we most enjoy, and that we hope you enjoy as well. Why? Because you matter to us. That's why this song is here. Not for us. For YOU.

David Bowie - Within You

Face it, be you casual onlooker or devoted subscriber: without you, we're nothing. Thanks for being there for us, over and over and over again.

If you're not sufficiently thanked, hit our previously mentioned room for the regular Music Monday enjoyment. Also, let us just remind you: some images come from the corresponding Wikipedia page and are here under fair use.

With these type of thanks, I always think of Bob Hope.

Bob Hope and Shirley Ross from "The Big Broadcast of 1938"

Alanis Morissette "Thank U"
Natalie Merchant "Kind & Generous"

Ah, so we're going with "thank you" songs, which is good because I couldn't recall any "you're welcome" songs.

Sam & Dave!

Same song, ZZ Top!

Did I see a Labryinth vid in there?

Totes Companion Cube Approval ^_^

And we think you're the Tops for getting everyone involved weekly, too!

(If I come up with any good "Thank You" songs I'll post 'em. I'll leave it to the pro's this week, probably, tho.)

Here we are~

Dido - Thank You (That song that was sampled for Eminem, the original is much sweeter)

And since there isn't REALLY a "You're Welcome" song, this might suffice~

Thank YOU for posting such fun threads. I love going down memory lane, where the music was better.

So, in gratitude, I offer the following:

"Thank You for Being a Friend", by Andrew Gold (Yes, it was a real song before becoming the theme for Golden Girls)

"Thank you Girl" by the Beatles (bonus, that the video is from the Beatles cartoons)

I think the following best spells out what Scott is trying to say:

"Thank You For The Music" by ABBA

I'm reminded of this Kevin and Bean interview they had with bob dylan The topic of the week was Thanks. Pretty funny stuff if i remember it correctly.

The joke is bob dylan pics all these terrible songs he'd never pick. also, the bob dylan impression is terrible.

I can only think of 2 or 3 songs off the top of my head so i'll leave some for other people. Here's the first one that came to mind

Flaming lips - thanks to you

Oddly, this was covered/tributed by the band B*witched. They titled their number "Thank ABBA for the music"

Some of you come up with some wild stuff I'd probably never hear otherwise, so I'd like to offer my own thanks for participating.
