Good lord, people, it was NewsRadio. Just because nobody watched it and NBC moved it all over the schedule and then Phil Hartman was murdered by his wife and his character replaced by Jon Lovitz doesn't make it any less true.

In my general writing class in college (around '97), we were assigned a paper about a sitcom of our choice. 21 out of 22 people in the class wrote about Friends. I wrote about The Maxx.

Shame we can't choose more than one. To me the best sitcoms of the 1990's were HOME IMPROVEMENT and FRASIER.

I could watch those two series back to back all day long and never get bored.
